  1. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a huge critical and commercial success, with fans singing praise of the deep and fleshed out characters, the gripping story and fantastic gameplay. Red Dead Online? Not so much... yet. The multiplayer mode has had a rough Beta phase, and players are vocal about their ideas and requests for improving it. Rockstar has made it clear that they intend to take player suggestions to heart during the beta period, which you can send to them via this specialized form. Players have been expressing their ideas and suggestions on other platforms as well, to see what others find interesting, and it shows which ideas really resonate with the fanbase. A number of features stand out as the most frequently requested. A few of these pop up more often than any other and fit into the world and gameplay of Red Dead Online better than the majority of suggestions. These additions would truly allow Red Dead Online to bloom as a persistent multiplayer experience that may even eclipse GTA Online one day. Homesteads Camps are fine when it comes to roughing it in the wilderness, but they offer only so much in terms of functionality and upgradability. The most successful outlaws can easily score big enough to purchase a plot of land for themselves with a house and amenities. A homestead or ranch wouldn't just give players a more immersive home location, but it would give Rockstar significantly more opportunities to introduce upgrade options. Players could renovate the buildings on their land, customize their function and appearance according to their preferences and protect it from raiders or other outlaws. While this would likely be a massive gold-sink for players themselves, owning and upgrading a homestead may be much more engaging than doing the same with a mere camp. It's understandable that Rockstar went with the more humble camp initially - players spent most of the story mode traveling with the Van Der Linde gang and setting up camp in various locations. However, back in Red Dead Redemption, John Marston was the owner of his own ranch, and even Red Dead Online utilizes a morality system which means some characters are more aligned with vigilantism than crime. The plentiful housing options available in GTA Online prove that Rockstar is more than proficient when it comes to developing these systems in a multiplayer game. The homestead locations could be instanced, so not every player home needs to be physically present on the map at the same time. Farming Why would you spend your time farming when there are many more action-packed activities available and better suited to outlaw life? Because it can be just as rewarding and fun. A large number of fans support this idea, and the success of games like Stardew Valley or Farming Simulator prove that this is a legitimate market. Living on the fringe of society and eking out a living on the wild frontier have always been central elements of Red Dead Redemption, and farming reflects this perfectly. Not only would it fit in perfectly with the previous suggestion, but farming would also offer a huge untapped category of gameplay additions. Players could choose to cultivate crops, tend to animals or breed their own horses. Selling these would offer a source of income, and players would be able to upgrade their facilities and acquire supplies for their farms. Once again, experience gained from GTA Online could be put to use here. One needs to supply their farm, so players would be purchasing the necessary equipment, seeds, crops, animals, feed and more to sustain their business, in the hopes that they can turn a profit. Missions could be included that offer an alternative to purchasing supplies - players could steal them from caravans, or loot bandit camps to retrieve already stolen supplies. Trapper and Wagons This should be a fairly simple addition - the trapper is already present in the game's single-player portion, so you'd think that porting it over to Online would be trivial. It's rather strange that the trapper is missing from the multiplayer mode at all, with the NPC being nonexistent in Online. Another useful feature would be the addition of player owned wagons which would allow for the transport of higher numbers of game. If someone wants to roleplay as a hunter, it involves a lot of legwork, whereas parking near rich hunting grounds and carrying multiple carcasses back to the wagon, so you can transport them at once, would be more convenient. Obviously, the wagons would cost a pretty penny for this benefit. Gambling Gambling is yet another feature we saw in Red Dead Redemption 2 that remains absent from Online to this day. Initially, one would think the reason is simple and insurmountable - due to the presence of microtransactions allowing the purchase of in-game currency with real money, adding any kind of gambling mini-games would potentially conflict with multiple national laws. Gambling in video games is illegal in most countries. However, Red Dead Online already boasts two separate currencies, only one of which can be purchased for real money. So this could already solve the hypothetical issue that has prevented gambling from appearing in GTA Online for half a decade. Since players can only purchase gold with real cash, the simple solution is making gambling an RDO $ only activity. Again, the minigames themselves are already fully present in single player and porting them should be a minor affair. Remember to send your own recommendations and suggestions to Rockstar, and contribute to the improvement of Red Dead Online for every dedicated player. 2. Would love to see more to do with full posse. Great friendship is being made in numbers. Its a great feeling having 7 horses riding together , communicating , and watching over each other. It just feels solid to me that they will include more for posses

  3. All I can say is WOW.......... This game was well worth the wait, hard to believe that it was almost a year when Rockstar announced that the release date would be delayed till October 2018, just as well they did, what a grand job the staff at Rockstar have done with this game. There was so much to do, I couldn't complete all the challenges, I couldn't find all the dinosaur bones, Dreamcatchers, rock carvings and so on, there was just too much to do and I was desperate to complete the story mode to find out what happens. I think it would be safe to say that we all gasped in awe when we saw the graphics, the fine attention to detail of how a river foams when flowing from a waterfall, the sounds of the birds twittering, the gentle rustle of leaves as the wind blows, I, when not in the mood for missions, would simply take my horse to Roanoke Valley and do a wee spot of fishing, the sounds of the waterfall was so soothing to the soul, it's really weird at how RDR2 was able to do this to me, distract me from the game play and put me in the mood for either fishing or hunting. The only gripe I had with this game, it sometimes was glitchy, and buggy, I have mentioned here in the forum how I wasn't able to get a boat in Lakay when trying to get a Legendary fish and you guys in this form were brilliant in assisting me in this game buy saying, I didn't need a boat to catch the Legendary Gar but instead, go to the exact spot shown on a map, you guys were another reason why this game was so enjoyable to play, not once, when people asked for help, did any of you treat us like a pure diddy, you took the time to answer and offer suggestions on how to solve the problem, so I thank you all for that. I will be replaying this game, this time, I want to become the most feared outlaw in all 5 states, I finished as a saint, next time, I want to be the son of a gun from Hell. One last thing- Spolier Alert, I can't believe how "emotional" I got when I bid farewell to my faithful Warhorse, she was called Kanto and she stuck by me through the thick and think and I had a wee lump in my throat at that moment, it took me by surprise which was another remarkable achievement by the creators of this game. Now I am riding off to the sunset singing the song "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi

  4. 7 horses riding together is great. When you have 2 posse's is even better. Harder to communicate but fun to play. I would love to see the posse limit increase to 10.

  5. Awesome..! And I echo your thoughts as well. So now you just have the 100% game completion to chase down. Oh, and I used a stolen Pinkerton horse for the last part of Chapter 6. Still, it's really sad watching a horse die.

  6. Shhh, I got an update today. No need to go to the post office or lock box. Plus Cripps taking a **** in the woods (actually that's from last week) And I'm telling you, my guess, update is going to come out same time as their earnings report (5/5 to 5/16) RDO has any bad news for the quarter. Stock is going to tank. They need to put a positive spin on it

  8. I hope you didn't hype it on Online / PVP alone. The story was well worth the purchase IMO. Wasn't an OOPS really was it?

  11. Topic says it all. I haven't bothered signing on all last week since last week's "update" was pretty stagnant. Was hoping something that was drip-fed today may make up for it, but damn, nothing?? My interest is drifting further awaaaay...

  12. pretty much what people have said in music post about 5 or 6 posts down To elaborate on my post there (since i'm bored at work sitting in a conference call with nothing better to do for an hour) got my first casette player when i was 6 or 7, but my parent's regulated what music we could listen too. So from then until i got my first cd player wow in 1985 or 1986 it was classic rock (wasn't called classic back then, it was just older) all we could buy locally for cd's at that time in the small town i grew up in were country. So i did the country phase for a few years, but listened to the top hits in pop on the radio, if we could get the station to come in clear enough to listen. Back then the earth had to be perfect in rotation, the clouds just right, the wind blowing our way from the station to help the radio waves, etc. In High school when the local store expanded it's music and video selection, my best friend got me hooked on EDM, but it wasn't called EDM back then. We had techno either House or Trance. 3 AM, The Shaman, and KLF were some of my favorites that spring to mind from back then. Moved out of my parents at 18 to go to college (2 hour drive south) and got to listening to hard rock. Alice n Chains, Poison, Aerosmith, etc. did that for a few years, then went to pop, listened to pop for probably a decade or more. At that time it was all just background music for me rather than listening to enjoy the music. Something to fill the silence. Then i got satellite radio 12 or 13 years ago. Every car radio i've had since then have all had 6 programmable buttons for 12 stations, i'm to lazy to program more than 6 so to this day my station list i cycle through is BPM (EDM music) Diplo (More EDM, Diplo is an amazing DJ that his own station on Sirius/Xm) Hair Nation (big hair rock bands from the 80s/90s) Top Hits (pop) Venus (i think it's called more top pop hits) Top Country station (don't remember the station name, it's only in my list for when my niece's and nephews ride with me, they're not allowed to listen to anything but country) Since we have favorite, here's what i can't stand also cRap, Opera, Classical, Blues, Jazz, country, soul, to many to name here so lets just say anything that is outside the scope of the first 5 radio stations above i don't like now.

  13. I agree 100%. Farming?! GTFO......sheesh. More missions, heists , flesh out posses, train/bank robberies, etc. But farming tops all of those?

  15. I've noticed the amount of animals increased and they don't glitch out to where there's none at all after 20-30 minutes. Idk what's up with everyone's intense need for constant new content/updates. Like if something new doesn't come out every week then people get upset.

  16. There is no best gun to carry, just different setups depending on your situation and what your wanna do like most have mentioned. Hunting: bolt action/Springfield rifle, varmint rifle, double sawed off shotguns. Free roam missions: Springfield rifle, double sawed off, bow with dynamite arrows loaded Showdown (generally): double Scofield revolvers, either Springfield or bolt action, repeating shotgun. Varies a little depending on my card set up too.

  17. A network of dealers in illicit arms and supplies with outposts all across frontier America, Fences are the place to buy and sell all manner of goods, from hunting baits to crafting pamphlets all the way to brutal, harder-to-find weapons like the Tomahawk or the Machete. Sidle up to your local Fence in the Red Dead Online Beta this week for a special 25% discount on all their available weapons. And to grease the wheels even further, Fences have lifted Rank requirements on weapon inventory. This week’s also the perfect time to make sure that Horse Tack is attached, with 25% off all Saddles and Horse Care items at Stables or via the Wheeler, Rawson and Co Catalogue.

I started off soooo bad in pvp. now that i have levels so i have the cards wehre i want them and more expierence and lots of explosive stuff if i need to pull it out i do damn good. so far their are only a few people who give me trouble, but i dont mind getting killed because it means their bounty goes up and they gotta pay... i also call my horse to me all the time hoping that they kill it and lose another $4. i'm so sick of griefers and this is the only online game i can actually do something about it. so i do. are you on xbox? or ps4?

  21. Almost everything about this game seems to suck. In the former Red Dead game I would play for hours and make progress but this is a slow slog of crap that is over complicated. I gave up and doubt I will even finish the game. And ONLINE sucks really bad.

  22. There is no update so I am not titling these Promos as "updates". I will only create a thread with the usual "UPDATE **/**/**" title when there is a patch, new content, etc. I will title these kinds of weekly specials as "Weekly Promo **/**/**".

  23. LOL, I love it man, thats great!! And not a bad idea, I do really dislike anyone who thinks it is ok to just abuse your trust and take advantage of a situation like waiting for you to leave a butcher and shoot you in the back, they deserve all the payback they can handle, and this too is driving me more and more, I am sick of worrying about who is in Rhodes, or Valentine, or going way way out of my way just to go to a butcher, I am done with that, and this is pushing me to grind, and play pvp more to get better at fighting, and master using my cards, so when I do hand out payback it will be glorious and fun.

  24. Thats cool, and good read man. Level 104 thats great man, a few weeks ago that literally seemed out of reach to me, today it seems like in 2 weeks Ill be right there. The more I realize most players seem to have relaxed on grinding levels, at least everyone Ive been talking too, it really motivated me to catch up somewhat. I was looking for inspiration and I found some, so now I go back to grinding for a bit, as long as I am working toward something I dont mind at all, and honestly I cant wait to get the ammo and one more card maxed out. I did learn something yesterday that was a "DOH!" moment, I had been using the carbine repeater, lol yep, I just didnt notice and was wondering, why is everyone so good with their repeater but I stink so bad, then I bought the Lancaster repeater and took it out for a ride, WOW what a difference, I cant wait to go back to pvp now and give this gun a try. Anyway I am really glad I found some direction to keep pushing while we all wait for the Spring update to hit and see what the game becomes either way I will be ready for whatever comes.

  25. It sounds great man, Id love to join ya guys. I dont discriminate against anyone ever, unless your just a jerk of any age, race, sex, or creed, a jerk is a jerk in any term, but I never shoot first, and I never go out of my way to disrespect anyone else in game, I enjoy the live and let live and respect peoples time approach, treat people the way you want to be treated, , if they want to play a certain way I dont do anything to interfere. Let me know when you get together and when I am on you can send me an invite so we can get into the same server. I still do a lot of solo play for grinding, I want to get to level 95 as soon as I can, but I could definitely get into some group antics and fun. I need practice in pvp the most, I am not very good at it right now, but I want to get better with practice and time in the maps to learn the nuances. I do belong to "The Northern Empire" a non toxic group sort of a milsim, (Military simulator), we have uniforms, and ranks, and we recruit as many non toxic fun people as we meet, so as long as the two groups arent against each other then I am in if you'll have me. Do you guys use discord to get together and communicate? We have a channel on there and it is great for talking to your buddies even when you are not in game, I use it on my laptop so I can chat with guys in our group even if I am playing on other servers. Are you guys on xbox? I am lump321 on xbox, so hopefully you guys are xbox and not ps4, if so add me for sure. Im down to grind out 30 levels over the next few weeks, I figure 2 a day will get me there in about 2 weeks, say 3 with a few days off.

  27. Something else to consider is using the iOS/Android App as well. While fishing, your minimap is not available but you can still view in the in-game map with the app. .....helps lessen the vulnerability when engaged in this activity by still providing some situational awareness.

  29. I've tried several iterations on my go to weapons. Dual wielding Schofields, Volcanic plus a schofield or sawed off, Bolt Action Rifle, etc. Here is what I have currently settled on... Dual Wield - Sawed Off - With equipped incendiary rounds - This makes short work of any close quarter or surprise encounter. It also means I keep my back and shoulder free, not having to carry another shotgun. Switching out the incendiary rounds is quick and painless when not needed. Over the Shoulder - Evans Repeater - Express Rounds - Fast fire rate, lots of rounds - perfect for close to mid range fast paced action. No need for a pistol. Across the back - Springfield Rifle - High Velocity rounds for range - I used the Bolt Action for a long time. I just found I liked the Springfield better as I seemed to get more 1 shot kills. Could just be perception though. Put a mid size scope on it for long range targets. There are certainly better more specialized weapons for specific situational uses. Sniper rifles, pump action shotguns, etc. But for me, the above set up has worked best for every day free roam and most events. YMMV.
