  1. I hope you're reporting these to R* Support.
  2. You've got at least one other threads on this topic so I am going to merge the two.
  3. Thanks for reporting back with the fix you that worked for your problem. I'm marking some of these thread titles with "RESOLVED" to hopefully help others in the community too.
  4. I would look to GTAO for any sort of precedent. I know they have something similar but whether that is able to be possible in RDO is yet to be seen.
  5. The camp placement in online is based on session population, where everyone else is camped, the state / region you choose, etc. You're right that R* does not allow players to set up camp in precise points that they want but you can choose the region / area. If you feel something is broken or not working as it is supposed to (like the menu you mentioned), I would suggest opening a ticket with R* Support: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.10373878.2106320704.1573495548-1472527368.1573495548 If you believe you have ideas that can make the game better, I would also suggest submitting your feedback directly to R* here: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadonline/feedback?step=decd9bdb Actually, posses of 1-4 players are free to create and join at any time. Persistent posses however are the ones that cost $200 but will allow up to 7 players to join together. There are also some other benefits as well. Friends can also rejoin posses without having to be invited as @Freakshow9191 mentioned. I just did it the other night with my friends persistent posse. In either case, it doesn't take much to send out invites in a regular posse. Again, you can still choose the state / region you want the camp in but yeah, you can't choose exact locations likely for balance, mitigating griefing / advantages, etc. I believe part of the reason R* doesn't allow sharing of in-game cash and certain other items between players is to help stem illicit activity like selling such things with real world money, hacking / cheating, etc. You can't exchange money in GTAO either. However, your friends can participate in missions with you and share in the reward / payments. btw, If you're have to play weeks at a time for 5+ hours a day to make $200, you're doing it wrong. I know you're new, but you are now a member of this community. Go ahead and take advantage of that. Read the threads or better yet, create your own and ask the questions you might have about things you don't know or don't understand in the game. There are plenty of people here to help give you answers, direction and advice. You can have one complete carcass of a larger animal like a deer on your horse, yes. .....but you're wrong about birds. You can carry two larger birds or smaller animals, snakes, etc. not just one. You can attach them on either side of your horse. Small birds/animals are stored in your satchel along with feathers, meat, etc. Again, ask around. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks around here who can help you maximize your profits on hunting trips. IMO / IME, the economy is hardly as bad as you are making it out to be. Of course you won't be able to buy everything right away, you need to be realistic about it. That is how the game is played and how the experience is supposed to be. IMO, things are a little too accessible in RDO at times. I'm about lvl 80 and have around $4,000 and 30+ GB IIRC. I really have nothing else I want to buy right now and haven't for a very long time. I have all the weapons I need/want, they are all upgraded and now it's just about horses (if I take that route), clothing and ability cards which I typically don't bother with much now. It's been this way for me for many months in regard to not really having to worry about finances. In the beginning, it's all about leveling up to help unlock certain items, weapons, etc. Along the way while leveling up, you are making money just playing the story missions, side missions, by hunting and doing other activities. IME, if you don't want to grind for money, just concentrate on the missions and other activities that interest you. Believe me, the money will follow. I simply don't pay much attention to what pays the most but just enjoy the game as we play missions and enjoy other activities together. I get that you're having trouble understanding how the game works, but to suggest others here "have no life" simply because they are more successful at it than you is a little silly don't you think? We all have lives but also enjoy games like RDR2 / RDO. This is a fan site and why we are all here. My suggestion would be to take some time and read through the forums. ....ask your own questions. Money seems to be sticking point for you so why don't you ask folks how to you can become more effective at making it in the game. Believe me..... There are folks here that have or make plenty of money to buy the things they need without having to play every day let alone 5+ hours a day. I maybe play 1-2 nights per week with periods where I won't touch the game for a month or so. Set the subjective notions aside and accept that perhaps some of your conceptions or ineffectiveness in the game may be in part due to your lack of understanding of how certain things work or how best to effectively tackle certain tasks / activites to maximize profits, XP, etc. I agree with @Harlock1796 and the others....... It sounds to me like you're not giving the game a chance. Then again, RDO simply may not be the game for you. RDR2 / RDO is very successful but that doesn't mean everyone will like it or understand how to play it effectively. Sounds to me that maybe even you just don't enjoy RDO / RDR2 which is perfectly fine and understandable. .....but you're blaming the game for that and most of your reasons simply aren't that sound IMO / IME which is why we're saying you're not giving it a fair shake. If you decide to stick with the game, make sure to take advantage of the resource here. We have a community of friendly folks willing to help. You might even consider joining a posse that can assist in showing you the ropes, help provide tips, tricks, do missions with, etc. Just visit our Posse Recruitment sub-forum.
  6. Nice. It's a great game and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
  7. Just make a second account like @DiamondDave mentioned. Its really easy to do on PS4. I do the same on games like DayZ that only allow 1 character per account on each server. I have two accounts I use for that one and can make as many as I like. ....unless this isn't possible in your case as mentioned? I know you can crate more than one in GTA. Personally, I would suggest submitting feedback via R*s Feedback site and request this feature. https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadonline/feedback?redirect_lang=en_us
  8. When I responded initially, I didn't clarify which is on me because this is in the SP section after all. You were right.
  9. That's what I've done as well the few times I had been targeted. I just hit the tracks and take off. Most would give up right away or shortly thereafter. One continued to pursue so I set up on that really long, high RR bridge (not sure if you know which one I'm talking about) and sniped my attackers as they came across. ...they stopped chasing me too. IME, it was always easy enough to get away but back then, I was also able to use the companion app until they neutered it.
  10. I removed the off topic exchange out of respect for the OP and to keep the thread on topic. I would remind anyone responding that disrespect toward other members or staff is not welcome or appreciated.
  11. Please don't create multiple threads on the same topic. Also, please post PC-specific posts in this PC subforum. I would appreciate it as it helps you, me and keeps the forums a bit tidier. Thanks for posting the solution you found as well. Some folks will post a problem, find an answer and then not share that information. I appreciate that you did.
  12. Well, they improved it over time IIRC as the player assassination were supposed to choose targets that were supposedly more hostile than others more often than not. Quite frankly, I haven't had an issue with it and can't remember the last time me or my posse were targeted. I also don't recall how Defensive Mode was supposed to factor into this as well so that could have something to do with it.
  13. Same here. Horses in RDO are not the same as cars in GTAO in regard to their impact IMO. ......once you get to a certain level of quality. I still use the Chestnut Arabian I got for free with the PS4 exclusive deal. I always have the intention of buying a new horse but it just never happens when I get online. .....I either end up forgetting about or just not wanting to bother.
  14. No. It's not like GTAO where you lose the cash that's on you, etc. You retain those items you have on you although you could potentially lose other things, or have your horse killed so you have to recall it, etc. Other players are not able to loot your body. You will respawn away from the immediate area when killed.
  15. You can buy wagons but only in RDO (online) like the Hunting Wagon, Bounty Wagon and upgraded Delivery Wagon.
  16. It's a fan site, yes. We are not affiliated with R* or Take Take Two. R* doesn't have any official forums for GTAV or RDR2.
  17. That sounds interesting. I'm semi-retired myself from working life. Gaming has been a past time for me for decades. I think you'll really enjoy RDR2 although I would recommend playing the campaign / SP portion first before delving into online.
  18. Cool deal. I'm sure you'll enjoy the game and welcome to the forums.
  19. @Den, Thanks for coming back and posting a solution you found to your issue. P.S. And thanks to everyone else who have posted solutions and potential fixes as well. That's what I love about this community.
  20. .....and thats pretty much what it boils down to. I'm sorry but it sounds like some want the ability to reap the benefits of these missions without the risk. Long distance deliveries are meant to be more challenging by introducing rival players but they also encourage people to play as a team. Posse up if you want to even the odds. .....or use the option R* provided to soloists looking to avoid conflict and do local deliveries.
  21. Well, I'm not looking to convince anyone to buy a PS5 or Scarlett. Get what you want is what I tell people. My network of friends are buying PS5s so that's another reason for me. I have zero interest in finding close friends like that again on a new platform. There are other reasons too why I want to stick with Sony and I'm sure a lot of good reasons folks stick with one or the other themselves. Seems you are bitter about your experiences with Sony and the PS4 / Pro. ....which is fine. You seem really convinced about the Scarlett so I would say go for it. I'll be quite honest that I have absolutely no interest in "fanboy" arguments, console wars, PC vs. console elitism, etc. It's all seems rather silly and childish to me as do the "I told you so" responses some people relish in, etc. I don't care if someone thinks I am making a bad decision with a purchase of one or the other and to be quite frank, I simply can't understand why they would unless they are somehow insecure in their own decision(s). My advice would be to ignore the fanboys and just purchase the system you want and know you will enjoy. You seem to be pretty well versed on what we might expect on these platforms so I would just buy what you want and to hell with what others say about your choice.
  22. I don't really get into all that speculation when it comes to next gen consoles before the details are actually confirmed. The fact of the matter for me is that I'll be playing PS4 titles up to and after the PS5's release and the since the PS5 will be backward compatible with PS4 games (one of the few specs that seems to be closest to being confirmed), that's a big reason for me (personally) to stick with Sony. Quite frankly, I don't really care about some of those other specifications that might make the Scarlett a little better platformer visually, etc. ....or vice versa. I also don't play PS3 titles anymore and never owned the PS2 or PS1. .....but the PS4 compatibility is a big selling point for me. As for remakes, I dunno how that will be affected this time around. I don't see them doing it with titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Death Stranding, etc. or perhaps even les recent titles like RDR2. .....at least for a long while. The PS4 wasn't backward compatible due to the differences in the the PS3 architecture apparently. That isn't the case with the PS5 in regard to the outgoing PS4. How this will affect remakes of PS4 titles on PS5, I don't know but if the PS5 versions are different enough, I might just pull the trigger. ....then there are PS4 title sales on PS5 to consider. I'll wager the backward compatibility may serve to further boost PS5 sales earlier in its life as PS4 owners that may have not considered upgrading because they couldn't play their current titles may end up buying the PS5 earlier than they would. .....or over the Scarlett since their old titles are still playable.
  23. Patient: "Doctor, it hurts when I bend my arm this way." Doctor: "Then don't bend your arm that way."
  24. Doesn't the options have a page showing which keys / controls are bound to what? Also, there is a way to remap the keybinds, etc. like in GTAV apparently: https://twinfinite.net/2019/11/red-dead-redemption-2-pc-controls-remap-keybinds-controls-how/ If you still can't find what you're looking for in the menus, I would suggest submitting a trouble ticket with R* Support and / or feedback through their Feedback site suggesting they publish this information or direct you to where you can find it: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadonline/feedback?redirect_lang=en_us .....or perhaps someone can chime in a direct folks to a site what has them listed.
