RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 NOW AVAILABLE FOR PC We're proud to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available for the PC. The first game in the Red Dead Redemption series to be featured on the PC platform, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC debuts with a range of graphical and technical enhancements to bring new life and detail to the story of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang, on the run from the law across America in the final days of the 19th Century. “I’m not going to pretend to be able to break down how the electronic sorcery Rockstar has used to update the already stunning lighting effects from the console version works. The end result, though, is that the world simply looks more natural. From the way fog causes an eerie glow to cover the sky when sun shines through it, or sweatier faces boast a more noticeable reflective sheen, leafy shadows flutter about the woods, or the way lamp and torchlight flickers in someone’s eyes, the already-vibrant world manages to pull you into it just that much further.” – IGN "Everything in the game, both in action and in static scenes within the photo mode, looked absolutely incredible during my session… Arthur looked so detailed that I felt as if I could reach out and wipe away the mud caked on his face." – Polygon "The combination of 60fps performance and mouselook significantly changes the way the game feels to play, which to me matters more than visual improvements to a game that looked great already." – PC Gamer “Red Dead Redemption 2 is shaping up to be an essential purchase for anyone whose gaming machine of choice is a PC...it's to have another chance to hang out with my imaginary husband, Arthur, and partly because it's one of the best looking games I've ever seen on a monitor.” – GamesRadar Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC is optimized to take full advantage of the platform with new graphical and technical enhancements, including increased draw distances for better navigation, higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting, support for high-end display setups with 4K resolution and beyond, multi-monitor configurations, widescreen configurations, faster frame rates, higher resolution shadows, improved textures and much more. In addition to all the technical enhancements, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC features new updates to the game’s Story Mode, including: 3 New Bounty Hunter Missions: Apprehend a trio of wanted fugitives - thief Herman Zizendorf, Ex-Confederate Officer Camille de Millemont and gang leader Bart Cavanaugh. 2 New Gang Hideouts: Take on the deadly Del Lobos gang at Gaptooth Breach and Solomon’s Folly. 2 New Treasure Maps: Hunt for treasures across the new Landmarks of Riches and The Elemental Trail maps for Gold Bars and other rewards. New “To The Ends of The Earth” Mission A host of new Weapons, Horses and Trinkets to collect. Plus, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC includes a new Photo Mode, with an assortment of tools to unlock the beauty of the frontier in Story Mode. Capture images with free form camera movement and add Filters, Stickers or Text then upload them to Social Club to share with the community. Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC also features Red Dead Online, the robust and continuously evolving world that includes numerous different ways to make your way in the last vestiges of the wild west: Frontier Pursuits: Carve your own path as a Bounty Hunter, Trader and Collector, each provide their own distinctive experiences where you can unlock new items, benefits and skills as you progress. A Land of Opportunities: Multi-part, story-based cooperative missions for two to four players where you assist the recently widowed Jessica LeClerk and her right-hand man Horley in their quest for revenge against the men who killed her husband. Free Roam Missions: Find Stranger icons throughout the map alone or with your Posse to embark on Free Roam Missions where you’ll encounter familiar faces from Story Mode and discover missions that can vary based on how noble or nefarious you are. Showdown Modes: A series of competitive modes where players and teams compete in classic gunfights and objective-based endeavors like capturing territory or supplies. Poker and More: Visit poker tables at towns and outposts across the map to participate in public or private games of Hold ‘Em. Plus, complete Daily Challenges to earn Gold Nuggets and XP, put your skills to the test against other players in competitive Free Roam Events, and more. And keep an eye out for ongoing updates to the world of Red Dead Online - like new game modes, additions to the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue, weekly bonuses and more. Anyone else noticing worsened performance after newest update?

Not for me on PS4. -
Hey Gabacon. Yeah, I use it most places I'm on.
-
Not the point I was making but yeah, ok. I thought they delivered an amazing and robust solo experience with the campaign and I've enjoyed the online too. To me, RDR2 was well worth the purchase price alone and one of the best SP games I've played on PS4. .....but I get not everyone will feel the same.
-
Something to keep in mind is that R* considers RDO the continuation of the game and where all DLC is released via. The campaign is robust & complete and divetails straight into the story told in RDR1 (which picks up where RDR2 leaves off). RDO is intended to open up the game world to the player where they can now enter the story as themselves. You are intended to be the continuation of the RDR2 and that is where the expansion is focused on.

Cool nickname.

Maybe because of PCs release tomorrow.

Buc is right..... Where there is a will, there is a way. My advice is to use the in-game reporting feature if you catch their names and you can even report players or player groups via their Support page: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?step=dea4b872 .....and/or report it as a bug.

ETTA DOYLE: WANTED ALIVE FOR A SERIES OF TRAIN AND STAGECOACH ROBBERIESNEW LEGENDARY BOUNTY NOW AVAILABLE - PLUS NEW EMOTES AND RDO$ GIFT In a past life, Etta Doyle trafficked in vice, working as a procuress for ladies of the night. She went by a different name then, too: Madame La Perle. But La Perle and her gang of discouraged women have since reinvented themselves as bandits, robbing stagecoaches and trains with a particular fancy for stealing from Leviticus Cornwall. Cornwall has grown weary of his freight being targeted and has hatched a plan to ensnare Doyle - by spreading rumors of high value goods traveling by rail through St Denis. The goods, of course, are fake - and Cornwall means to spring an ambush. Wishing to distance himself and his company from the dirty work, Cornwall requires the assistance of qualified and experienced Bounty Hunters. Doyle and her gang are considered extremely dangerous, but mercy must be spared, and the target is required to be captured alive. Her identifying traits are a scar on her right cheek that she earned in a knife fight and the fact that she dresses in male clothing - though she will likely mask her face to conceal her true identity. Licensed Bounty Hunters can take on Legendary Bounty Missions by approaching the nearest Bounty Board, indicated on the map. A short while after completing a Legendary Bounty it will reappear to be played at an increased difficulty, indicated by the number of stars present on the poster. For those who will experience Red Dead Online for the first time on PC tomorrow, connecting your Social Club account with Twitch Prime will get you the Bounty Hunter license for free. To ensure access to all kinds of future Red Dead Online benefits, make sure to visit Twitch Prime and sign up. All gunslingers who play Red Dead Online between now and November 11th will be rewarded with a gift of RDO$100 and a free Treasure Map, regardless of what platform you play on. The Treasure Map will be found at the Post Office or in your Camp Lockbox, all gifts will be deposited within 24 hours of playing Red Dead Online. And starting tomorrow, ambitious Collectors who scour the map for the Weekly Collectible List consisting of the Ace of Cups, Ace of Wands and Absinthe will be able to cash in the Fortune Teller's Collection, either by visiting Madam Nazar or by mailing it via the Post Office. To learn more about the Collector Role and other Frontier Pursuits, visit the official Red Dead Online site. A selection of new emotes are now available for folk looking to express themselves on the frontier, found in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalogue. Greet fellow travelers on the road with the Gentle Wave or show your appreciation for their efforts with the Applause emote. Alternatively, give the Thumbs Down to cowpokes provoking your ire, or use the Hush Your Mouth emote to let your Posse know you're taking a stealth approach. All Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Club Members who reach Club Rank 50 this week will also receive the Gentle Wave emote. The emote gift will arrive within 36 hours of reaching Club Rank 50 and can be found in the Greet section of the Emotes menu. PlayStation Plus members who play Red Dead Online will receive the Page of Pentacles, Knight of Pentacles, Queen of Pentacles and King of Pentacles Tarot Cards within 24 hours of playing Red Dead Online - all free of charge and ready to sell to Madam Nazar individually, or as part of a lucrative collection. And for competitive players looking for a fright, this is your last week to play the Fear of the Dark Showdown Mode. Stay tuned to the Newswire for more Red Dead Online news in the coming weeks. and head over to the Social Club Events page for details on all the current special events, bonuses and more.

Hi there and welcome to the forums. Please remember that we don't allow spamming or multiple posts regarding the same topic. I removed your other thread. As for the chroma theme you're looking for, I'm guessing one for RDR2?
-
The campaign is complete. It has been since it's initial release in console. There are no current plans to release DLC or additional content for it.
-
.....and all I'm saying is that maybe there's a lot more to it than what some folks suspect. The fact of that matter is we just don't know but personally, I wouldn't say that any of what is being presented here is indicative of a company that "doesn't care about the important stuff". If I'm going to be quite honest, I just see a lot of assumptions being made with little knowledge of what may be actually going on behind the scenes, what's involved, etc. My only suggestion would be that folks continue to submit trouble tickets and follow through on them until issues like these get resolved.
-
If they do anything, I doubt it will be anything special for one segment of the community. It will likely be limited time bonuses for playing missions and/or logging on during a particular period, special events, etc. .....again, if they do anything it will likely be inclusive to all that participate in the offer or it will be offered to all (e.g. gold/cash credited to everyone's account). Loyal or long-time players of RDO are rewarded by taking advantage of the bonuses. free gifts, etc. since release. The more you play, the more you are rewarded.
-
......remember also that they said in the September interview that they would also be building on the existing roles as well as exploring new ones.
-
.....or it could be that animal spawns are more complicated than other concerns they are able to resolve relatively quickly. It could be that the issue isn't as far reaching as some may assume or directly tied into performance in sessions, etc., etc. The fix for daily challenges could have been an obvious break or flaw in the code which helped them identify the problem and fix it in short order. .....the animal spawns may not be so cut and dry. .....but then I'm also not thinking that if they had only brought in the departments that engineer or work on the drivetrain, I would have gotten better seats. That was the point. It has nothing to do with the additional content being released. The bottom line is that it seems R* is aware some are experiencing issues with animal spawns and camp set ups which IMO / IME is a good thing. If they acknowledge it then there is a really good chance it will get resolved. The solution simply may be more complex to address that some may think.

I think you mean Defensive Mode or at least I hope you do. Well, you first need to understand that Defensive Mode is not a passive mode that makes you invulnerable. Auto aim is disabled for both you and your attacker initially but they can still free aim and shoot. Defensive Mode simply provides an advantage against possible aggressors by providing certain features and options to the user.
-
It combines their player base and increases the population of players in sessions. That can be useful in several ways to both the community and the game company by bolstering the player base on platforms that may be a little thin. It can also be a selling point for gamers who have friends on different platforms and so on.
-
The restriction has nothing to do with Rockstar not wanting to release certain features like this in some countries and everything to due with local laws / regulations.
-
There's a big thread about it in the troubleshooting sub forum, maybe you can discuss it there?

Creating ALT Characters.. Breathes so much life into this game.
Kean_1 replied to HuDawg's topic in Red Dead Online
It's all driven from the main account but yeah, you can create multiple accounts to play the same games. You can even set up the main screen differently if you like for each account. Just be aware that your friends will not carry over, etc. You'll need to send new invites if you want to play with certain friends on that new acct. -

PS4 has this option as well and I use it in some games like DayZ so I can have more than one character on my server. .....one to save and play with friends at their location and other(s) to roam freely with while solo.
