  1. In regard to finding other groups or creating your own to play with in RDO, you can browse or post a thread in our Posse Recruitment sub-forum. There are plenty of folks looking for others to join their posses or are looking for one themselves As for discussing update ideas, etc., feel free to do so here if you wish.
  2. Hi Jamierj and welcome. This is the welcome thread so we'll save the recruiting for the Posse Recruitment forum which I can see you've already found. Have fun and good luck.
  3. Not by my definition or apparently R*'s either but what else can I say? It's not an indiscriminate attack as if you were picking herbs in Free Roam and isn't treated as such but you simply have a different interpretation. There already is. It's called a posse. You're simply increasing your chances of getting killed by choosing the riskier option without one. Not my choice to take on risky endeavors like this when playing solo but that's a choice we all have to make. You might want to check our Posse Recruitment forum. There are plenty of folks willing to help out their crew with these kinds of missions. A lot of times they simply take turns helping each other level up or maybe they are just in it for the action. I usually only ride with one additional friend and even that is enough sometimes to deter would be attackers IME. Again, it's not broken, it's just that you don't agree with it's implementation. Life isn't fair in real life or the world of RDR2. This is game where cooperative play is encouraged and rewarded. .....safety in numbers. As for completely avoiding that delivery option, I still do them. ....but I accept the additional danger I face by my choice and posse up when I can to mitigate the risk as was R*'s intention. This game can be played solo but folks shouldn't expect that it will be just as easy as if they had friends by their side. While R* has done a lot to help protect players from griefing in Free Roam, there are still missions that will require you to be in Offensive mode and put you at risk to player attacks. You want to make more money? ....you need to take more risk. R* has already provided a safer option for those not willing to and yeah, it pays less but that's the whole idea.
  4. ...thing is, the mechanic isn't broken, it's just that you don't like it. Nothing wrong with that though. This is part of the risk / reward. If you commit to a delivery, there's no backing out which IMO is good. Part of the risk / anticipation / excitement is that other players may choose to ambush you. You decide on which route you want, etc. based on how much risk you're willing to take. If people were allowed to cancel when things got hairy, where's the challenge in that? Deliveries are risky and part of that risk is being attacked by other players. .....as such, it's is not considered"griefing" when you fall victim. Right, wrong or indifferent, that is part of the game in relation to these kinds of missions / events. You're talking about levying penalties against players who are playing within the rules of the game as if they were griefing. The reason they are able to go into defensive mode after the event is because it's over at that point. If you pursue them when all is said and done because you're upset about the outcome, then you are the aggressor. Same as the target side missions, mail deliveries, etc. Again, you're punishing players simply for participating in the missions / events. It can't be handled the same as griefers are in Free Roam. If penalties are so high, then no one would want to even try to attack. .....what would be the point in even allowing it then? As others said, choose the safer routes or better yet, find a group to team up with so you have added protection. IME, that alone is usually enough to deter aggressors on these types of missions.
  5. ah..... You can always upload the vid to YT and link from there.
  6. If you got it, why not? .....as long as it doesn't contain anything that breaks the rules there's no problem sharing videos here.
  7. No cross-play, no worries.
  8. Role based would be any of the events having to do with one of the 3 new roles. .....Trader, Collector or Bounty Hunter.

  10. It's funny..... I never bought a horse before except for the Chestnut Arabian I got for free in the PS4 bonus. .....been using it ever since.
  11. GTAO has one where you get $1,000,000 just for logging into the game right now. They have these all the time and I suspect they'll continue to do the same with RDO. It's a great way to get people to jump into the game that are otherwise inactive. .....and a nice bonus for those who play regularly too. Same with the payout bonuses, etc.
  12. I think folks should enjoy the game as they like whether that's running through it or stopping to smell the flowers once in a while, etc. ....but yeah, part of the reason I (personally) don't tend to rush my progress is because I typically enjoy the game more and for longer that way. To each their own though. There's really no wrong way to enjoy the game or it's content.
  13. I dunno..... I'm not rushing things and I'm finding them to be entertaining enough. I only find things get grindy when I make them that way (e.g. trying to knock missions out one after the other in rapid succession, etc.). It's not a race for me to get to the end. ....but that's just me.
  14. Personally, I think they provided a very robust campaign that I spent many hours on and to be quite honest, still haven't completed. GTAV was very similar as I spent a ton of hours in that story before venturing into GTAO. Even without the online content, these games stand alone quite well as excellent single player campaigns IMO, rich with detail and content. I get that you don't like the fact that they don't release additional content for the main story, but IMO that doesn't mean that they are not sincere about their love for creating single player experiences. ......and IMO, R* creates some of the best. The success of both GTAV and RDR2 reflect that I believe. Both the GTAV and RDR2 campaigns have tons of content IMO. I never played either thinking that it was necessarily lacking. Personally, I'll usually play SP campaigns once through and then move on to the online component or to another game. .....perhaps revisiting the campaign again at some point. My point is, it's not as if anyone could ever honestly say GTAV or RDR2 was ever lacking content IMO although I get that some would want that experience to continue through DLC. Well, you can't use the things you acquire in the main story in the online mode so anyone who wants that fancy new supercar in GTAO is still going to have to buy it in the online game. ......using in-game cash or Shark Cards. I have doubts they had fears that adding these things to the story would cut into that action but who knows. Could also be that they simply felt that they had added enough to the main story and cut additional content support/resources for it. ....but then again, here we are with a game that is one of the most successful GaaS models in the industry. R* continues to add content to it and folks keep coming back for more. MTXs are what fuel that content so whether one chooses to purchase Shark Cards, Gold Bars or simply grind for the in-game currency, we all get to enjoy the benefits. As far as the game worlds, GTAV and RDR2 are not small by any stretch so I believe they still have plenty to provide as they are filled with additional features and content. In regard to map expansions in RDO specifically, this is what they had to say about it in the linked interview: “It’s not in the plans right now, because there’s still so much we can do with the world as it currently is, as we’ve touched on before,” Butchard says. “We’re building that foundation just now. So no plans just at the moment for that.” I hadn't heard R* ever claim that they had commitments to expand the map although some have speculated. All in all, I get why some would enjoy DLC and additional content drops in the campaign but I also understand (and appreciate) R*'s vision for RDO as their focus in that respect. It is essentially the vehicle for the players own continuing story in the RDR2 world.
  15. If you care to see exactly what R*'s take is on all this, I would read the link in that article to the original VG 24/7 interview. Here it is again: https://www.vg247.com/2019/09/27/red-dead-online-future-heists-villain-lawmen-business/ IMO, there is a lot more to it than what is being described above. I'm not saying it will change anyone's mind about it, but it explains more as to why there is likely to be no additional content for the campaign. ......and btw, they don't entirely rule out something like an Undead Nightmare 2. They said it before but RDO is meant to be the extension of the campaign where players assume roles as themselves in the RDR2 game world. They are trying to evolve and expand RDO into that reality. With the introduction of the new roles and other content introduced (and planned), I can really see their vision taking shape. They've really been catering to those who don't necessarily want to participate in PvP conflicts with other players. In fact, they have noticed more interest in cooperative gameplay than PvP in the game which (IMO) is a good thing since that is right down my alley. I also think that it will further encourage R* to tailor the game more with that in mind. I know some folks will always be adamantly against the online experience which is fine. .....but speaking as someone who loved the campaign and is also enjoying the online experience, I can really begin to see their vision taking shape now and (personally), I like it. .....and this is from someone who hates GTAO public sessions.
  16. You can switch between roles any time you like.

I'm not much on sports games but was surprised to see MLB The Show 19 was one of the free games this month on PS+.
  19. No, not in this particular news update but that doesn't mean one isn't coming this week.

  21. ^^^^^ ....this. Make sure you're reporting these issues even if you think or know that they are already aware of it. The more people who open tickets, the better IMO / IME.

@narmin, For the benefit of all following these threads, it might help to translate your posts into English as I have been doing for you. I appreciate it, thanks.
  24. Yeah, I'm not crazy about the whole camp thing myself. .....never really was. I understand why they can't just let people set up camp wherever they want (given the current state) but I think this new role mechanic definitely puts the issues with it in a spot light. Personally, I can't wait for the properties to be made available and I hope that you can use them like camps as well. Perhaps they can set up a DMZ of sorts within a particular radius of those where players are momentarily invulnerable to attack if they own that property and are not able to engage others. Thinking of it that way, maybe they could allow players more freedom in setting up camps using a similar mechanic. .....or maybe other players simply would not be allowed to set up a camp within a certain distance of another player but still give players the freedom to set up camps in more areas. The other thing is that they could simply create more camp spawns in each region and revisit the whole respawn mechanic and so on.
