  1. I just saw your last remark about Stadia and about hoping folks can run it.
  2. They never said they loved "single player over multiplayer" in the Newsbot post I believe you are talking about. You need to take the remarks Imran Sarwar made into context. This was in response to a question if R* was moving away from story expansions and why there were none in GTAV: Sarwar is simply stating what R* reps have been saying before and since about single player....... They do love creating these SP experiences in their games. He adds that he doesn't believe MP can deliver the same level of storytelling and immersion a good single-player component can. Also, look at this remarks about GTAV. He feels (as I do) that they delivered a massive and complete single-player game. I also believe this to be true of RDR2. RDR2 stands as one of the best single player games in ages that took ~3,000 people over 7 years to create with a main story script of about 2,000 pages long, about 500,000 lines of dialogue, over 2,000 days of motion capture work, etc. The level of detail in RDR2 sets a benchmark IMO. If RDR2 doesn't show a company that is committed to (loves) delivering an incredible single-player experience, I don't know what does.
  3. Just reminding folks that if someone does provide an answer, I'd ask that they use the spoiler tag option please. We have a lot of PC folks on here now that are just beginning the campaign. Thanks.
  4. ....ahhhh. Though he was talking about the topic of long distance deliveries. That was my understanding as well. ....which again is part of the design.
  5. I don't believe you can on long distance deliveries.
  6. On normal days, my experience has been that they will typically respond within a couple hours or within 24. However, their Support site say <48 hours. I suspect most responses will be within 2 days perhaps a bit more if they are overwhelmed. Common questions with known answers may get sorted much quicker. ....who knows. Hopefully you hear back soon.
  7. It's going to be PS5 for me. It will have backward compatibility with at least the PS4 titles which is all I want personally. I can continue to play GTAVO, RDO DayZ and other titles I have or will be getting until then. The thing is about PC for me is that it essentially has the market cornered on military, tactical shooters which is a genre I've always loved. ......which can include survival games. AAA devs on console always seem to dumb these kinds of titles down or go more for the run & gun, twitch spin. ......can't wait for Insurgency Sandstorm to some out on console in Spring. Perhaps more of these smaller devs will start porting their titles over if they see others having success. Personally, I think the market is bigger than people think as a lot of folks I meet are either former PC gamers who like milsim-type games or still do on occasion. I just can't go back to building PC's because: 1) I hate the bi-yearly cycle of upgrading components to stay at the level I am accusom to. 2) I love the ability to plop on the couch, turn on the big screen, spark up the PS4 and start playing.
  8. Yeah.... That was essentially the gist of it. No one can tell someone it's worth it. Each person needs to decide that for themselves. Even if I was still building gaming PCs I doubt I would buy it again if I already had it for my PS4. On the other hand, if it were available at the same time, I'd likely go with PC instead in that scenario. Personally, I'd be playing more milsim and tactical shooter games, flight sims, etc. if I had a gaming rig.
  9. First, I would suspect R* Support is quite busy sorting teething problems with the PC release. I would expect responses may be a little slower than usual during this time. When did you contact them anyway?
  10. Threads about annoying things....

However, we do have a knowledgeable community here with all kinds of backgrounds and experience. Chances are, someone might have the same problem as you and possibly even a solution or helpful advice. Also, we would encourage you to submit a trouble ticket with Rockstar if you are having problems with the game. Even with known issues it's important that people continue to submit their reports with R* as it might help provide them with an idea of what the problem may be and perhaps even expedite a fix. Try to be as descriptive as possible in your feedback. Below is the link to the Rockstar Support site. Responses are typically within 24 hrs during the week IME but I believe they ask to allow 48: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507

  13. Hi @Trespasser and welcome to the forums.
  14. Hi @Hexton and welcome to the forums. The reason you may have received 60 views with no responses is simply no one having the answer for you. Personally, I would be persistent with R* Support if this is an issue with the game. I would check the sticky thread occasionally that I created for more updates on hotfixes, solutions, etc. that may be announced. .....or subscribe to R* Support's Twitter feed so you are kept up to date. I wish I could help but I have no idea to be honest.
  15. If you look at my post just above yours, R* had fixed some issues with the launcher earlier this afternoon so that could be why in your friends scenario.
  16. Please refer to the sticky I made and see if any of those soultions help. 17. Hi @Voltakid and welcome to the forums. Just a little advice..... You may want to craft a more clear explanation of what you are seeking assistance with (e.g. including details, a clearer description of your scenario, etc.). It also goes a long way in encouraging others to chime in as they are more likely to help those willing to help themselves. What you wrote is a little cryptic to say the least.

  19. As far as I can see, hardware has little to do with it. It's all about connection speed / performance. Hell, you can run games via a Chromecast Ultra @ 4K and a Stadia controller from the looks of it. As long as your TV/monitor is compatible with the features (e.g. 4K, HDR, etc.) and the device you are using to stream to it, you're good to go I would imagine. The processing power in relation to running the game is supposedly all on their end. ....of course, we have to wait to see how well all that works in practice once it arrives.

  21. Even GTAO had a solo tutorial you had to muddle through before being able to join friends online. It's just sort of an orientation to get you used to some of the mechanics before releasing you into the wild. Glad to hear your all sorted now. I'll move this to the RDO forum since it was progression related rather than a PC related problem.
  22. Hi @NeKryXe and welcome to the forums. I would suggest watching one of the many tutorials from YT, articles, etc. In fact, I found one with a quick search that might help. Fast forward to the 29:30 mark. That is where he opens the treasure chest, gets the countdown timer and then realizes he must equip the ability card. The beginning of RDO is more of a tutorial. It is an open world game that provides you with essentially complete freedom once you get past the hand-holding parts: If this resolves your issue then please let me know. I will move this from the PC forum to the RDO forum which would be more appropriate for progression / mode questions & answers. It's been a year for me since I started out so I don;t have your answer myself. I have to rely on these tutorials and past posts / threads for answers.
  23. I would encourage folks with problems to also submit a trouble ticket via the R* Support page here: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.242701057.2012964184.1572984452-1778489656.1572984452
  24. Hopefully they will tell you that it's a know issue and they are working on it. .....or at least that many others are reporting the problem as well as that might indicate that a fix will be incoming soon. I kinda figured there would be teething problems like this given the multitude of hardware combinations, etc. Maybe it's simply due to the amount of traffic today? I hope it gets sorted soon for you either way.
  25. ....did you open a ticket? That's what I would do while you're waiting for other replies. If you have video evidence, that would be even better when you submit the case.
