Tattoos?

I don't have one but I am considering one. I am on the fence about what I want though so I want to think long and hard about it.

Anyone here have tattoos? What do you got and where do you have it?

I am thinking of getting one on my shoulder blade. Something medium sized, nothing to huge. No color either. Just black ink.

I have 3 myself. I have two on my back and one on my calf.

I will say that when you do go, make sure you go to someone that won't over charge you and knows what they are doing. My one tat on my back cost me more than both the others combined and it is the smallest one. It was my first and I didn't know any better.

I would just advise to also get something you know you won't regret.  I know that sounds pretty obvious, but of all the times I even thought about getting certain tattoos, I'm glad I picked something that would never change about me.  I specifically chose to get one of my surname coat of arms.  My sister, on the other hand, just recently got out of a pretty emotional relationship, and she got a tattoo that expressed her feelings about it in one word.  Unfortunately, I just couldn't get myself to say, "You're probably gonna regret that one."  xD

I have the stupid barbed wire on my bicep. I do not recommend it. I wasn't thinking. I honestly just wanted a tattoo and that was a trendy thing to get at the time.

Avoid anything trending and you are less likely to regret getting one... Like me.

HA! Sorry this is funny to me because my older brother did the same thing. He was drunk at the time though. Just forget you have it. It isn't the worst tat you could have gotten.

lol this is an older commercial  remember from a long time ago....I think it's hilarious

I actually remember this too!

Funny thing is, I am pretty sure they set up laws now that a tat place can't do ink if they suspect you are drunk or have been drinking. They can face HUGE fines for doing it these days. Back then though, it happened all the time.

Yeah I think you're right! Your blood is thinner when you're drunk too, so talking with some guys I know that actually do tats they all say the same thing, which is it's harder to do a tat when the person has thin blood. Not sure why, as I don't have any or know much about tats, but it makes sense. I'm sure there are shady places around that will but probably hard to find lol

I think it has something to do with a risk of bleeding to death or something not sure.

As for the OP, I do not have any myself. I am the only one of my friends to have clean skin. My one buddy has a full sleeve. He said in total it cost him around $3500.

In my country it would cost around 14-15000$

A bit late to the reply here. I go on offline benders sometimes lol

But yeah, there is a place near where I grew up that got busted a few years ago. They would tattoo underage kids as well as drunks. I guess the owner and half the staff were drug addicts. You have to be SUPER careful of where you get tats done these days. Seems like just about anyone with the ability to trace thinks they can be a tattoo artist.

I got my first tattoo last weekend. I got a faded Koi that forms a ying yang. I know it sounds corner but it has meaning for me. My grandfather loved Koi and had some in a pond. Fell in love with the fish when he was in the war. The symbol for me is life and death, pleasure and pain, light and darkness. I got it on my calf.

Now I am curious...

Did you ever get one? I have always preferred straight black ink over the colorful tattoos myself. I have one on my calf of a dragon my brother drew up for me. Other than it being something my brother made, I just like dragons so I got it inked on me. He is really good at drawing and doing sketches. I keep trying to push him to get into video game design.

I don't have any and do not intend on getting any. I feel like I would end up regretting it and I really don't want to see the crap fade so bad when I am an old fart that it looks like I have a giant liver spot.
