DanDud88
If Rockstar Games make a 3rd RDR game i think they should do it like the flashback missions in The Warriors video game showing why he fell out with Colm O Driscoll and how he formed the sons of Dutch (like how Cleon formed the Warriors after Virgil and the destroyers set him up) then tell the stories of how each member of Dutches gang joined him. Plus We know from the first red dead redemption that even though Marstons were no longer a threat to the government but ended up being killed anyway so that there were no loose ends. It made me think what if the surviving members of the gang were killed by each other by being forced to by the government or definitely by Marston himself. Think about it when we start Red Dead Redemption 1 John gets off a ferry? Where had he gone if he's home is at beachers hope? My guess is he had killed either Saidie in South America or Charles in Canada. I think if they did do a red dead redemption 3 they should show both how the gang got formed and how the characters died.

buttlint
Whatever they decide to do, they better get on it. Nobody is going to wait around for 7 years for the next episode.

BropolloCreed79
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Playable Charles teaching Jack the things John never had a chance to. And a buddy should be able to join your story mode session to play as Jack (or you join theirs) host is always Charles. You're welcome, R*

You're welcome, R* I did like Charles, so seeing what actually happened to him would be cool. Sadie's story would be ok, but to me it could be wrapped up in a DLC for RDR2. Kormath
I'd like to play Sadie after RDR2, Charles would be a good one too. When i first heard about RDR2 i was hoping it would be a sequel about Jack after RDR, so there's that also.

(WWI) I don't know what they would have in mind but I would love to have the game setup to allow a 2 or maybe even 4 player co-op experience. Maybe a game set in the RDR gameworld where players are allowed to create their own characters and gangs. ....supported by AI if you want to play solo. Maybe give the player choices from a pool of NPCs that they can recruit, fire, be betrayed by, etc. ...each having their own strengths, weaknesses, vices, honor level, abilities/skills, personalities/traits, dialogue, etc. Maybe you come across eligible NPCs during a mission or in certain locations, etc. and even have to have a certain level of experience, honor , etc. for them to even be interested in joining your gang. Maybe they can be killed which might lend more immersion and value into your relationship with them. .....especially if their abilities / skills develop over time while they're with you. The loss would be felt more. Some NPCs could even be more trustworthy, dependable, brave, etc. which would all affect how they interact with you and how they behave while in your gang, during missions, while in town, etc. Maybe AI gang members will come to respect you more over time so they are less likely to run if they are the type to get scared in a fight, less likely to betray you, won;t cause as much trouble while you're in town, will follow orders more easily, etc. Weave in the RDR characters into the experience but where they take more of a background role. ....hire you on for some jobs or perhaps your paths can cross in various ways and thru various interactions. You (and your friends if want) could be your own customizable character(s) experiencing the RDR world through the eyes of someone outside the cast of the series. ....and live it as well. .......just some really raw spitballin' here.

Minimoni
I hope RDR3 or whatever the next game will be called, will be set in the real Wild West. No matter if they keep using already known characters or if they to me, preferably will start a new story with new characters in the 1870-1880 era. I just want more of the real Wild West and less of the “turn of the century” or “the end of the gunman era”. I want to play in the gunman era when the telegraph was the newest and most modern way of communication and not the phone.
DNMNetTech
RDR3 could take everything the game mechanics and graphics have to offer now and progress with a wagon train headed west. Become a rancher, farmer, gold miner, lawman, fur trader, outlaw, or any combination.

The_Liquor
Yeah, I’d say immediately post war, around 1865 to around 1880. Different weapons, less law, less government interference, more gunsmoke (Black powder)... and less ‘Wild Bunch’ feeling

Not to mention the smell Bottle that up and sell it lol. I've always wanted a black powder and a burnt gunpowder cologne. Plus the slower shooting would weed out the GTA style players You could do button combos to reload, upgrades to reload faster with pre-measured powder pouch and such. Put native americans in to play, maybe even an option to play a warrior as they were pretty fired up still after the Trail of Tears fiasco.
wardener007
RDR 2 WAS AMAZING DEFINITELY 5 STARS! But kind of wondering how about if RDR 3 takes places in modern era like in 21st century. Obviously Arthur , Dutch , and all members can be replaced with some form of 21st century mafia or cowboys seeking to take over a city. Just a thought. Maybe shift from wild west stories to something new. Or maybe we could focus on Arthur's descendants or his great grandson Will (just made up name). We could also go for GTA kind of game in RDR but instead focusing on stealing money we could go for politics and taking over farmland and cities along with deception and lies just like in RDR2. But no matter which stories they would go for, I would like to see RDR 3 in next at least four years from now obviously on PS5. It was a great game. Parzival
RDR3 won't be set in modern day (that's GTA's department) and it most definitely won't come in a measly four years.
Enoch
I would like to see the story of Landon Ricketts. We could track him from his days in the Civil War, to when he became a reformed legendary gunman, to him riding off into the sunset after his gunslinger days took him to the edge.
