Personally, this is the type of purpose I’ve been craving since launch. Want my wagon? Come and try to take it. Want to keep your wagon? Try and stop me from stealing it... I hated the random senseless psycho killer thing going on. I see much less of this now and much more purposeful conflict. I’m happy with these changes and look forward to even more.

Let's keep the responses civil @pluck3 and ditch the personal insults. You may not agree with it but @Freakshow9191 is right. This is the same as player hunts in side missions that R* offers. This option to deliver is riskier but pays more. Part of that risk is the fact that other players are encouraged to join in the delivery mission as adversaries. It even broadcasts that fact to them. This is part of the games design. The OP is not indiscriminately killing other players in this scenario but simply taking part as R* encourages others to. You may not like taking part in these roles for these missions (I know I don't) but for those who do, it's not griefing by R*s standards. If you don't want the risk, take the shorter and safer route that pays less. ......or get a larger posse to help protect your load. Your beef should be with R* for designing the delivery missions this way.

I see attacking rival wagons as a totally legitimate part of the game and not griefing at all. Having said that I would like to see it trigger a decent bounty, if only for a while to alert bounty hunters. When stealing these supplies we're playing bandit so it would make sense. It would also give the bounty hunter players something to do which they were sold but is sorely lacking. Another point not made so far is just how much those wagons are worth to a good size posse. With 625 dollars for a long distance delivery and six posse members scoring 300 each that wagon becomes worth close to two and a half thousand. It's worth making friends out their folks.

Nope. I play the game my way. Don't f@@k with me and I will not f@@k with you. I never fire first.....but will always return fire. And wagon I took was from a tool trolling a posse member before I got to the lobby. So when I saw him pop his happy lil butt on the map attempting to make a run....I had to say hi. He was a lvl 270 picking on a lvl 12. I'm all about teaching lessons.

This kind? I mean hungry wolfs. Who sees an opportunity to play the game and thinks...Hmmm let me see what level this guy / gal is first. This is by far the easiest money making and leveling online game I have played. I remember grinding for weeks just to get a jump from level 15 or so to the next level. Grinding for several weeks for a special sword that I had to have someone else make because I wasn't a high enough level to make it myself or my skill was not in that path. When dying meant you had to gather help to go to the badlands and get the stuff you dropped before someone else got it.

Also @We Are Ninja my community is 100 % honorable and have been since beta released. We never shoot first but I couldn't imagine playing it without outlaws. It really keeps us on the mark knowing at any time outlaws can pop up and surprise us ! We really do love it ! 😀

AGAIN, let's keep the discussion about the game, mechanics, etc. There's no need to keep hurling insults at one another. If it wasn't clear before, it should be clear now. The personal insults stop here.

Sounds like somebody is part of the "Everyone Gets A Trophy" group. I want and expect the challenges the game provides. If I lose my wagon.. Bummer filler back up again. When someone tries to take my wagon and I win. Yeaa! I should get the trophy. Nobody ever wins the silver metal.

Quick question , this person that saved for the wagon , hunted animals to fill it with all there hard work , did they use a slingshot? I'm thinking they used guns ! Why not use those guns to defend it ? How is it a d%#&k move to take it ? Or try to take it ! Shoot back man dang !!

First of all take down a few notches. He is just doing what the game allows and encourages. Nothing wrong with that. I run solo wagons all the time. Am I entitled to $625 problem free because I worked so hard hunting? No. I could make $500 BUT I want the $625. But I accept that risk. I am not entitled to anything . That line of thinking is soft and foolish to me. You may feel different and that is cool. And that is Mr. Asshole to you.

I`m a solo played so i don`t do long deliveries very often but when i do i know the risk i`m taking. What really makes me mad is getting 10 pelts on my horse and get the dreaded screen of being booted due to Rockstars end. Log back in and all pelts gone and no camp. Back to grinding after numerous attempts to get my camp back and get almost there and Cripps has packed up. Numerous more times to get a camp back and no good so i go to a stable and save my game. Log back in i have a camp but there goes my pelts again. Crap is getting old for sure.

I get the donkey. What about a baby horse? Only seen 1 of these and had to ride it.

Hey there tumbleweed ! I just have one question , are you afraid of dying in a video game ? The reason I ask is it seems your hell bent on never having to use your guns ? Don't get me wrong I think everyone should get to play there own way but to expect everyone else to just leave you be in a shooter game is kinda backwards. Embrace it my man ! Get out there and make name for yourself. Never back down and throw everything you got at em. Carry on good sir.

Ok, well good to know they are in fact happening. I spend a little too much time on the game and I'm surprised I've never seen one. James hickook: I've had 2 camp raids. But I was somewhat close to my camp each time. I think (not sure) that they won't raid unless you're within a reasonable distance to get back and defend.

Nothing in particular except for his size and cuteness and his "music". HEEE-AAAHH! yeah Everytime I ride him through a populated town a game of steal the donkey breaks out.

I think you should learn what a griefer is pluck. I'm far from it. I'm a guy who almost every session puts a 3 star cougar on the back of someone's horse and runs off as an act of Goodwill and a reassurance that not everyone you meet online is a scumbag. I'm a guy that will invite a new player I hear out on game chat having trouble, and invite them to a party and help them out for a long time even at the expense of my own nightly goals going unfinished. But when an exciting game mode and challenge presents itself in a way that it was designed by the games developers, I will give it a try.

I dont know why it happened or what I coudl have done to make it happen, all I did was fast travel to Manzanita post to get something, I noticed I was on the server with one other guy, I checked his gamercard and saw he was in the Grizzlies somewhere, I didnt think much of it. Ive seen it happen before but usually it lasts about 5 minutes then the server re populates, not today. Because it never changed I couldnt shut it off, lol I was on alone for over 8 hours. I killed 6 Grizzlies, 14 wolves, 8 cougars, and countless other things, I actually found the limit for my horse with pelts, its 60. At 60 it said you cant store any more on your horse, lol So., I dunno, just thought I would share what happened, I felt very lucky as there were animals everywhere in great numbers, the swamps were like a rain forest untouched, it was crazy!! I can only hope it happens again one day, I made a little over $4000.00 and Cripps is still completely stocked when I logged off , I made most of the money by collecting 16 items I needed to cap off 8 or 9 collections, plus all the hunting along the way. I need food.

I love that little guy. Would be a great addition to the stable. A 7 man posse, dressed in black, rolling into town on donkeys🤣. I ride one around town anytime I can, people always shoot me and take him. He's a hot property.

Was it just sitting by the road saddled up? No one around? I noticed the "fame seeker" lady's donkey was saddled up is why I ask. Thought it may be a fame/danger seeker was around.

I do own it. When I see that red dot appear, I'm hard riding towards it, loading E-rounds, eating minty big game, and guzzling moonshine the whole way. And yet I'm honorable, helpful and have never picked a fight with someone minding their own business. I become "provoked" when a "RIVAL TRADER" makes their own CHOICE to throw the gauntlet down and select the "try and take it" button instead of choosing local. They threw it down, I'm picking it up. I have a choice, and so does the seller.

Don't know why you think I'm upset. This is a game...not real life. I have only taken one Wagon ever and that was because that player was trolling a posse member of mine. I call that karma. So there is nothing to Own. I can't stand paint it black, But it is in the game so people are free to use it regardless how I feel. Just because I don't go after people's wagons, doesn't meanI am against People that do. Do you. It is all part of the game. But if someone is trying to take something from me, I welcome the challenge. As I recall on the cover art for this game. Arthur is pointing a gun not a teddy bear.

I'll let you call the outlaws what ever you want bud. But really do you really want to play rdr2o without outlaws ? Just seems kinda pointless to buy a game like this and not expect some folk to want to be bad guys. That's what makes this game so great in my opinion. Good vs bad.

I apologize for starting this argument. When I said that I wasn't an asshole because I choose not to attack another player's wagon during their delivery mission, I didn't mean to imply that those who do choose to attack the wagon are all assholes. I get it. This game is supposed to simulate the wild west. It needs both "good guys" and "bad guys" to bring balance to the game. There can be a fine line between being a "bad guy" and being a griefer who sole reason for playing is to ruin the enjoyment of others for his own enjoyment. In this case, I do agree that since Rockstar practically wants to to attack the other player's wagon, that does not cross the line.

Ninja: if you make it to a drop off and there is a gunfight going on and you fail there, you lose your wagon that way too. Is it only ok for an NPC to ruin your hours of hard work? Also, as you said, you've "never lost a wagon to other players despite their best efforts". I bet you rather enjoyed emerging victorious from such an encounter. Am I wrong?

Wow. You are special . I give you that. What am I owning up to? The fact that as a RDO player I have choices?? Play any way you want. I careless. However you can't get all in your feelings when someone doesn't play the same way. They are not glitching or cheating.......so who cares. I bring wagons solo all the time. And when a player tries to take it, do I cry? " NOOOO!!!! I worked so hard!!!! NOOOOO!! STOPPP!!". Oh course not. If i was like that I would have never stepped foot in online. Instead I aim my gun and fire. You know , normal sh!t. And how did you know I use Mommy's credit card? I'm only 9yrs old. Cut me some slack!!!! Sheesh!!!! I will move out one day when I'm a big boy!

I believe it is like $23 . But it really isn't worth it. I believe you get $17 if you capture them alive and less if you kill them. Really not worth it IMO. Don't get me wrong , I don't mind shooting people........BUT, I am not chasing you around for $17 . They need to raise it. Make it like x2 or x3 what it is now. Or maybe if a player is a level 300 that factors into the reward being higher. I dunno. Right now it isn't worth my time especially when I can make $50+ on a 3* NPC bounty. I did one a few weeks ago thinking I get paid. Nope. Much like the player/posse assassination mission, the payout needs to be higher. Players are supposed to be harder than dumb NPCs. Which is why the pay should reflect that.

I was thinking about it as well yesterday. I very ofeten borrow the one on the farm and ride on it lol just for the fun of it. What would be really cool and i would even pay real life money for it is..............Tamed Grizzlie bear !!!!!! With a saddle and all, that could also acompany you while fighting or hunting lol . That would be bad ass. I need a Grizzlie mount !!!!!!!

They need to lower the bounty threshold to be eligible to have a player bounty slapped on you. $20 is too high.

Thanks. Yes, I have been strictly solo for my own runs, so far. I have joined a few casual posses, and have helped others run their goods in (and do some five star bounties), which is a lot of fun, a lot of fun, but I have never formed my own posse. Maybe I have latent issues surrounding the potential for rejection!

That would be a game changer. Maybe not 100% but say maybe between 75-80% since they are "stolen" goods. That would make things very very interesting.

They are well within their right to do and if they want to try to go after me go ahead. I have no issue with having to defend myself. I've been lucky. I've only ever been attacked once and I easily fended it off. Personally I'll never attack another player(unless provoked) even in those structured pvp situations. I prefer playing the good guy(despite my name). Though I have been known to blow away NPCs who piss me off, or if I get bored and feel like messing with them. Besides, attacking a wagon imo isn't worth it to gain a few goods out of it. It would be a different story if you could hijack the wagon and sell the goods yourself for full price.

The pucker factor is very high when doing a long delivery with just 2. You win some and you lose some. And some you never see a sole.

Man that's awesome that the 2 of you are out here in the West doing what needs to be done ! I salute you my friend. We almost always have a full 7 running those and we protect it very well. I can only imagine the rush y'all are getting with just the 2 of you ! Keep it up cowboy !

I made a video in the weekend exactly with this situation. 4 wolves ganked me near a cave enterance and i was like 5 meters from them when they spawned - they circled me around until i killed them and My MFT didnt buck me whatsoever. Ill upload it today after work to One drive and post for you to see. I actually know what you r talking about with the breton. I have saved Bounty hunter role for last bcoz i thought its the most fun of all and currently on lvl 15 with it. Now i see that my MFT is not the right one for it. When many enemies it gets scared. runs away and i have to constantly whistle for him to get back to me. Im really looking forward to buy the Bretone but i need lvl 20 role for that.... Seems kinda stupid bcoz would be a great help to have him while exping the damn bounty hunter and not after finishing it. I also bought a Criollo and will exp him today to have a glimpse.

Perhaps you could contact Rockstar and suggest this to them. They are always open to ideas and feedback from players.

RDO is set in the American West /South late 19th century. Samurai? The Samurai Army was abolished in Japan in the 1870s and the Japanese army modernised adopting a Western Style. Not sure it would be a good fit in the game.

I think it was actually referred to as "early access content" or something along those lines.

SPEED!?? MY BRETON ROCKS. With proper saddle and stirrups (NOT the Delgado because I own that too), my steel grey Breton is rated 9 Speed and 6 Acceleration. Does anybody honestly need more than that? And Gambarro is smarter than the other horses, e.g. when I am dismounted in a furious gunbattle, he does not flee. He takes himself to safety which is never more than 40 or 60 feet away, returns less than 2 seconds after whistling. He doesn't run off into the great unknown. He will whinney at snakes but not rear-up, and pulls his head hard left or right to warn me of a gator nearby. As much as I love my Turkoman (Añejo) with the same stats, there's no comparing In the heat of battle or natural danger. I've already eliminated a couple of horses from my stable and will probably pare it down to just three: Turk, Nokota, and Breton.

Yes James, the Breton is much better IMO I like everything about it. The trotter might be a little faster but not so much that it would make any real difference, the Breton is no slouch, they are fast too. Criollo is the fastest with specs, then the trotters and maybe Turks, then I think Breton, BUT to be honest, the Breton to me handles better, feels better and to me it is very important that I dont get bucked off, I play a LOT, and it is multiple times a day I run into cougars, wolves, bears, snakes, etc.. and gun fights? lol by the dozen man, so yeah, I am sick and tired of having my horse bail on me, I have no desire to ride my Trotters at all to be honest since the new horses, I dont know that I will again either, I just dont have a need for a horse that is so skittish. The money if flowing in this game right now, try a Breton level 20, bonded to level 4, you decide, its a few bucks, but I guarantee you if nothing else you can use it specificaly for jobs where you KNOW the Trotter will freak, but I think once you ride one you will enjoy it. I own both Trotters, they were my favorite horse for a long time, I never thought Id like another horse more, but new things keep on coming. For sure to each his own, for me, Breton, Kladruber, Turkoman, Trotter in that order.

I was experimenting with defensive and offensive load outs, currently I am running a pretty strong one, they call it a tank load out, meaning you are goign to be hard to kill. Slow and Steady, Iron Lung, Peak Condition, and The Unblinking eye. I had been running two horse cards, one makes you harder to kill while the other makes you more powerful when on the offensive, the problem is since the update the drain rate of dead eye seems faster to me, so I went back to the unblinking eye to prolong it by an extra 15 seconds. I had tested this prior to the update then again after. Pre update the difference was 5 seconds, now it is 15 seconds so it is well worth it f you plan to run Slow and Steady. You can mess with lots of various combinations but this one has done me good, I am very hard to kill when running dead eye, and still able to get one shot kills with either the Springfield or Bolt action. Try a few different load outs, never without one isnt worth it anymore, Slippery doesnt seem worth it anymore, Paint it black can be in pvp but in free roam you dont need it, unless you prefer it for hunting and gun fights, but really the auto aim does all the work anyway so I found it better to drop it and run slow and steady, but thats me. Regardless what you run I suggest you go tier 3 on all cards, the difference can be a lot in certain circumstances. For the record I do plan to try the gunslingers choice or whatever the dual wielding card that we on Xbox are still waiting for as part of an offensive load out, once it is available to us Ill update this with a few variations.

Yesterday (lol) for the "Play 2 Free Roam Events" daily challenge, I joined a Master Archer event. Normally everyone is cool about going for the objective and not killing. I was doing really well (ended up 3rd overall) but a Rank 17 player ran up on me and headshot me after he missed 2 or 3 times. I continued playing the objective until I spotted him in his free blue tinted Chuparosa poncho so I dipped and dove up to him as he shot arrow after arrow at me, lassoed his feet to trip him, then ran up and hogtied him. I was just going to leave him hogtied to waste his time and humiliate him but a random "white night" female saw the ordeal and killed me just as the event ended. To her though, I probably looked like the griefer lol. Wish I would have saved that clip 😭
