Ok so I`ve seen "Justified" a couple of times and yeah I know a bit about the hillbilly-culture out west but I didn`t really know to much about Appalachia until I recently stumbled over this "Appalachian storyteller" at youtube. Facinating part of the US`s history, worth looking up! But once again this game impresses. There is of course an Appalachian community in this game; from Butchers Creek and up to Beaver Hollow. An area where you`ll have to keep your gun loose in it`s holster, ready for anything. You can place you`re camp up there but you better sleep with one eye open..

I thought this was really cool. I know it isn't directly tied to RDR2 but for those of you that enjoy Minecraft, you might enjoy a bit of cross-over. You can download it here if you want to put it in game and check it out for yourself.

So the new missions they added recently involve some cool things. I love the throwback they hint at with this stuff and I think the quote above is right, Undead Nightmare is still the best expansion to date in all of their games. That being said, since this is just Volume 1, we should expect another after this. Maybe more than one. Who knows! I am pretty hyped! I am working on playing through the missions this week.

I don't know if it is just mine or what but he is annoying to ride and any little thing spooks him and makes him run away. I have had this happen in the middle of shootouts and he wouldn't come back. Always trips too when riding. Like I maxed out bonding and everything but the horse just never improved for me. I read that these were some of the funnest horses to use and it has been a nightmare for me lol

Buy it for him? Online I think is only $20. If you can spare it, that would be a good way to get him to play it since it would be free for him. lol Like if someone bought me a game I would be inclined to at least try it.

This for me as well. Those missions were insane. Like I was shocked how dark the game got coming off of GTA 4. I was not prepared for it lol I still find RDR1 to be the better of the two in terms of story, characters, and just raw emotion.

Just for the stranger missions alone, RDR1 takes the cake. I mean those were DARK. And the ending of the game honestly broke my heart. Not in a bad way, it was just very emotional for me. I didn't get the same connection with RDR2's story. It was good don't get me wrong but man I felt like John Marston was a friend of mine.

Tbf here, most horses in RDR2 suck LOL Like I have tried every breed/type and they all have the same issues. I think the horse mechanics are probably one of the worst things about the game.

Yeah it sucks cause I actually prefer RDR2 online vs GTA 5 online. I just don't see this game getting anything major for it outside of an upgrade for the graphics and maybe some new edition that includes some stuff for the newer consoles.

I played through RDR1 again last year and having played RDR2 again and finishing it up a month or so ago, I feel like the first one was way darker and more horrific. It felt more raw and just in your face compared to the second one. Maybe that is just me though idk.

NateTheHate has made claims that RDR2 is likely to be announced for the Nintendo Switch 2 in the coming weeks. He's gotten rumors right before so a lot of people bank on what he says. It would make sense that the Switch 2 gets the game since the OG Switch couldn't handle the game.

How soon is soon? I have not seen anything about it yet. I know there are rumors but if they planned on releasing it in the fall, I would imagine we would know by August right?

I love history on the wild west! It was one of the few times I actually listened during history class haha I am going to watch both these videos in a bit. I am sure there will be stuff I have yet to know/learn about.

If anyone was waiting to play or hoping it would come to Xbox, it will be soon. On August 26th, it will be added. Not sure if this is going to be cross-platform or not when it is added. But I am excited to be playing it either way. Played for like 20 min at a friends and have wanted to play it since.

These people were crazy back in the day. I didn't watch the vid yet but wasn't this where moonshine originated? I feel like it did and it was horrifically lethal. I don't know how anyone drank that back then or even now. Although I think it is considered entirely illegal to make.

Rumors are circulating that we should expect something this fall be it a remaster or an enhanced edition of the game. I am just wondering it it will be like RDR where they just make the game run smoother with a few bits and bobs thrown in. Not a big deal for most people but plenty were happy with the minor updates. I just don't see this being massive when Rockstar is focused heavily on GTA 6 right now.

I mean if we only get a patch but it fixes everything broken with the game and ups the fps issue, I am fine with it. I really don't want to buy another version if I don't have to! lol

For anyone wondering, there are four new missions. Strange Tales of the Plague: This mission involves finding and delivering diseased corpses in Armadillo while avoiding zombies and cultists. Strange Tales of Modern Science: In this mission, players must attack Braithwaite Manor, which is defended by a large number of robots. Strange Tales of the Bayou: This mission takes place in Lagras, where players have to fight through waves of NPCs and gators to capture a target. Strange Tales of the Wilderness: This mission requires players to track down a target in a large area of Tall Trees without any weapons or consumables. I got the first one done last night.

I was just looking online. I did check in the store and it absolutely is there. I don't know what made me think it wasn't. I just assumed only the story was on the newer consoles, not the actual online end but yeah it is there lol My bad!

I think it would be better to go back further in time. Maybe something in the 1860's or 1870's. Wouldn't make much sense to follow up with Jack cause that means the old west would be dead. Maybe they could tie him into an LA Noire style game if they ever do one of those again.

I come back and play online a few times a year and compared to GTA 5 online, RDR2 online just feels like a neglected child. Like I understand more players are into GTA than RDR but if you see the updates and events side by side, it is just disappointing. They haven't added much to the game either over the years and people wonder why so many stopped playing after the first few years.

There is that too. Why would they waste money if the game works fine. Like there are issues but they are minor and not enough people care about the FPS rates. The game still looks good and functions.

Oh for sure. Like I would rate RDR 2 at a 7/10 but RDR 1 is a 9/10. Both are great games but the first one stood out big time for me and I still find everything about it other than the graphics to be better.

It is more chill for sure. I guess certain aspects are exciting but for me that part wore off awhile ago. Now I just play this game when I want to relax. Just sucks online is terrible since other players like to terrorize you lol

Hmm.. Yeah it makes sense to only be for the new Switch when you consider everything you said. I am still hoping we get a more stable version for PS5/Xbox though but I am not going to count on it.

I don't think they have added anything "new" since 2022. It is all the same stuff in rotation. So we will see holiday/seasonal stuff but that is about it.

Donkey Kong is Rare as is Conker's. I think you might be confusing the two? The first one released by Rockstar was the original GTA but it was under DMA Design which was their name prior to becoming Rockstar.

I have not played in awhile, since like 2022 and coming back and not seeing much added if anything? Yeah it is quite disappointing. Rockstar really dropped the fn ball with this game. Shame on them.

I can't bring myself to play RDR1 on Switch and definitely won't be able to play RDR2 on it either. It just feels like it would be lacking something that makes it the masterpiece that it truly is.

Start with Rampage Trainer. It is probably one of if not the most popular mod people use for this game. It basically allows for you to make all kinds of adjustments and tweaks including adding your own cheats. It is a lot of fun. Ped Damage Overhaul is another I recommend. It makes the NPCs react more realistically.

I know the game is not new but he has been playing GTA 5 on and off since that game came out. He never played RDR or RDR2 but I know he would love the online end of it. I want him to get it and see for himself and play with me but I don't know how to go about convincing him to do it.

This right here. They do have online go on sale from time to time. Like I got it for $5. I can't remember when it was but I wanted to be able to play on console again.

A leaf will fall 20 feet away and my horse will manage to trip over it. I feel like they botched the horse mechanics and never bothered fixing them. Yeah the mustangs have issues but what horse honestly doesn't? lmao

Nah. Nothing that I could find. Only thing I found was that Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting a next-gen update for the Switch 2. This doesn't mean anything for PS5 or Xbox S/X. The standard Switch didn't have RDR2 at all so they are just going to release it for the new Switch. I don't think it is anything beyond this.

It is something people have complained about. I think it is the lighting and the compression it goes through. It is more noticeable if you are playing the game on a newer console. it was not as noticeable on PS4/Xbox One.

Where are you looking? Cause I been playing on PS 5 for awhile now lol It runs better than it does on xbox as well but still has its issues. The controller isn't as good though cause you don't get those cool lights on the controller when you are wanted. They are still active but it isn't as noticeable.

I have had issues with save files myself, especially after they had been sitting for awhile. I don't know why though. I even reached out to Rockstar and they had no solutions for me.

Yeah it seems most logical to wait and there is a chance it will be part of some kind of special where you can play it for cheaper or even free at first.

I just don't get this though cause like on Steam alone, there are still 40k+ people playing the game. Not including the people that play on console. I feel like they should have kept up with it more. I don't think we had any good update for it since like 2022 (??) maybe.

I think this is the case for me too. Like GTA is fun and all, don't get me wrong but RDR is so much more relaxing and exciting at the same time. It doesn't help that I hate city life either lol

I mean you could probably convince him to play when the updated version comes out. Get him hyped about it now. I am guessing he was bummed about the GTA 6 delay, sell it to him as a game he can play until that comes out!

I had this happen to me and didn't know what was wrong. I ended up trying again the next day and it worked. So I mean if it is still giving you issues, you could try reaching out to rockstar. I think in my case it was a save file issue that sorted itself out.

The only way to get south of Blackwater that I know of and not be hunted, is to play the chapter 3 mission, I think it is chapter 3, where you go to Bronte's mansion to get JAck back, in that mission one of the tasks you have to complete is search the cemetery and not be seen, But if at some point you are seen by police, yet you still escape and live, to finish the mission, afterwards when it is all over, for some reason, you can then travel to Blackwater or any other part of New Austin and nobody will hassle you. Now I read that this was patched, so I am not sure if you can still do this or not. When I did it, it worked perfectly. UPDATE: So once I got to the epilogue and was able to free roam, I had some mail, and it was the invite from Gil, which is odd, since John never met Gil, or sent him any fish. anyway, the story went on as it should and left me as John at Rio Bravo. SO I guess R* never recorded script from Arthur in case anyone did this, and the game is a bit linear in that respect as far as this fishing legendary fish is concerned. Im sure even though they had the budget and time allowances they had, that they still woudl have loved more time and more money, the game as awesome as it is, has many areas where I think hmm it woudl be nice if... and then I think, I bet they wanted that, but..... I cant wait to see what the future holds.
