Undead Nightmare 2?

Not sure if this topic was discussed or not, mt apologies if it was. Do you think they will make another Undead Nightmare 2 just because it got such positive feedback or do you think they will do something new this time around?

I wouldn't mind them doing it again but I would rather they do something else. Maybe instead of zombies they dabble in some like old indian tales or something. I don't mind the zombie thing now and then but it has been overkill since they released RDR with other games.

I am not sure what else they could do. I think they ran through a lot of things in the last one. They could always do aliens I guess. Not sure how that would go over.

I am actually curious about this myself. What could they do with aliens that would work well with the old west theme?

As much as I enjoyed the 1st Undead Nightmare and played that as much as I played the regular game.  Do any of you think they will make that a dlc for the new rdr2 game?

I am sure they will do something but I don't think it will be another Undead Nightmare. I think a lot of the zombie material has worn thin. Like there has been so much of it in gaming since 2011 that they will need something new and fresh to appeal to those of us who are kind of worn out on zombies.

I am not bothered by it if they did a part 2 because as much as zombies have been done into the dirt, they are still popular and easily enjoyable in games. That is just my opinion anyways.

Based on what happened to GTA V I'd say the chances are much lower this time of any single-player DLC especially if they intend to use the online mode in RDR2 in a similar fashion.

I would of course like them to do something like this where they can extend the base game or even introduce a new separate experience using the same engine as a standalone title e.g. RDR2: The Great Expedition or something similar.

I do hope they bring something crazy like this again for RDR2 post release be it aliens, flying horses or whatever just to mix things up.

Nah. I want something new and fresh. I don't expect them to come up with anything original, that is hard these days but for the love of  tacos... NO MORE ZOMBIES!

Rockstar doesn't usually repeat the same thing over.  I did really enjoy the DLC and it was a great spin off of the original story.  I would love them to at least continue from where Seth digs up Marston's body to see what craziness that old guy could stir up.  Yet that would kind of be repeating what has already been done.

If they give it the GTA 5 treatment, that just means I am less likely to buy it.  I like GTA 5, just the online part got old quick.  Too much trolling and griefing in my opinion.  Not a fan of that.

Well I am not to bothered either way. If it looks and sounds good enough, I will buy it - Zombies or not.  I would like to see something different though seeing as these games are years apart.

This is how I feel pretty much. I would like something new too but if they do end up doing a part 2 of the zombies, I wouldn't be bothered. It isn't like we are forced or will be forced to get it.

I would appreciate an Undead Nightmare 2, it would be good if they released it for a Halloween. My friend would appreciate that as he is a horror fan.

I 100%'d RDR1 and have never played undead nightmare. I've just never been that interested in the whole zombie thing.

If this is the case, they would likely release it in 2019. No way they do DLC that fast. The game comes out late October this year.

Had to resurrect this (pardon the pun) as I've been thinking quite a bit about it.

I REALLY hope R* does something similar to this with RDR2. It doesn't have to be zombies this time, but I would like something with a spooky supernatural theme. 

I'm not too keen on aliens -- as that's more sci-fi than supernatural. ????

Maybe vampires? That might be a neat storyline. 

Another creepy thing might be if a portal to Hell opened and demons started escaping.

. . . OR, what about a group of serial killers wearing expressionless masks (a la Michael Myers) that can be shot and fall to the ground, but they always rise again? (Maybe you have to blow them up with dynamite?)

. . . OR, I'd be fine with the dead rising again. I'm not really a believer in the idea that the entire concept is worn-out.

This is DLC *I* would buy. Especially if they launch it around Halloween of 2019.

But imho, no one has done it better or as well.  I like SoD games, but even those don't compare to me.

I'm all zombied out but the first one was kinda fun.  Given how much better RDR2 is expected to be, I'd be up for another Z experience.  ....especially online with friends.

I just hope it would be released later down the road though if they do something like this so it doesn't take away from the core experience.  I really want to spend time with the main game first.

By the way, @YodaMan 3D - I found the perfect avatar picture for you:

SoD  =  State of Decay.  It is a Microsoft game for PC and Xbox.  You have a small community trying to survive a zombie apocalypse.  You need supplies and deal with outside communities as well as deal with the endless spawn of zombies that may attack you and your safehouse.

Could be PvZ (players vs. Zombie AI).  That might encourage folks to play together against Z hordes, etc.  .....or more likely make for creative ways to people to kill each other, use them as bait,  a distraction as you try to get away, etc.

Maybe not zombies, though it will be cool if  they do it again. Maybe R* will release episodes, diferent storylines that will cross at some point just like GTAIV.

Eh, if it isn't supernatural in nature, it'll just be "meh" to me. If they're going to do a "What If?" story, it needs to be really outside of the box, like Undead Nightmare was.
