Today I was walking out of the Gunsmith in Valentine when I heard someone go... "Oh! Hey! Are you the Moosh from Red Dead forums!?" 

 

I usually play with my headset on but muted. I was like "Oh shiii... That me...", fumbled around until I got unmuted, looked around and there was @DtrtWing lol

Fun when you run into forum members unexpectedly

Thats great.

Once I was talking to a guy, and he mentioned his towns name, and it sounded familar turns out he was about 15 minutes from my house, I thought that was pretty neat,

I have had so many interesting, weird things happen in game I could write a book.

Figured this doesn't need a separate topic so just discussing here:

Dynamic Events can do the ol' switcheroo on you - gotta be careful out there.

The sweet lady who got bucked from her horse south of Valentine flagged me down the other night. Damn horse gone and bucked her off and she asked for a ride to Valentine... I had done this countless times so I was like "sure, hop on, I'm heading there anyway" - mashing Square to Accept Escort. Suddenly she pulls her sixgun on me and rips me off my horse! I recover and dust her with my right, knocking her out, then suddenly it seemed like a dozen bandits packing serious firepower appear from all sides and smoke me LOL

Gonna be extra cautious next time I see that broad!

So, I've always wanted to host and be apart of a fight club so I'm creating a post to see if anyone would wanna help me plan this. 

I'm hoping to gather a bunch of y'all, I'm only on Xbox One however. I wanna host a tournament in the name of my Posse (Illuminati) to see who is the best of the best of the best in the wild, wild west!!

I was up in the Mountains of Amberino and some Mexican dude is usually up there with a band of outlaws who ambush you when you accept to help him, buuuuut today I had my LaMats ready and I figured he was gonna do the same ole BS, but nope, he actually needed a ride, like legitimately, and yet the whole way to his destination I was like, he's gonna throw me off or something.... Nope, he genuinely needed that ride. 

Damn... People CAN change 😂

A LITTLE STORY.

Was playing rdr online on sunday when my daughter plonks herself down on the sofa next to me and starts watching, she starts asking question after question about the game. she is only 13 and only plays the likes of minecraft and kingdom hearts type games so i was quite surprised by her interest, we quickly installed the game on her console and got her a character sorted out to play online. we formed a posse and i showed her how to hunt and we did the story missions she was really enjoying it until we were hunting bison and this posse of four players started grieving us the berks no matter were we spawned they came after us to the point she got sick and went offline, then started asking me why people were doing that? It's hard to explain to a little girl that some people are just tosser's !

Just set up Remote Play on my Xperia and PS4. Can't let my 42+ day streak die while I'm in the city for 4 days LOL

Hopefully the Summer update doesn't drop on Tuesday cause my screen will be way too small to dig into it.

Yesterday I was having "a day" - my PC which I rely on has been acting up so I need to start thinking on getting a new one built... Been stressed out with that, add in severe anxiety and the tail end of my monthly "lady time"...

There I was, just doing PVP for the stupid dailies... Plunder's the mode. An enemy player runs right up on me so I shoot, she survives, she shoots, somehow I survive and I counter with another shot, this time to her face. She dies. Suddenly I hear her on her mic "Some purple bitch with a Lancaster just got me! She's right next to you!"

(I was actually on the turquoise team, she was purple, her buddy was yellow)

I was temporarily taken aback in my weakened state... Like, "What did I ever do to you? I'm just playing the game... Who hurt you??"... Then my "bad bitch" side was like "Bitch - at least I know my colours!" but I didn't have my mic on hahaha

Ended up on the same team as her the very next round. Turns out she was all talk. I was consistently ahead of her and I hate PVP. Her and her buddies left soon after lol.

Yesterday (lol) for the "Play 2 Free Roam Events" daily challenge, I joined a Master Archer event. Normally everyone is cool about going for the objective and not killing. I was doing really well (ended up 3rd overall) but a Rank 17 player ran up on me and headshot me after he missed 2 or 3 times.

I continued playing the objective until I spotted him in his free blue tinted Chuparosa poncho so I dipped and dove up to him as he shot arrow after arrow at me, lassoed his feet to trip him, then ran up and hogtied him. I was just going to leave him hogtied to waste his time and humiliate him but a random "white night" female saw the ordeal and killed me just as the event ended. To her though, I probably looked like the griefer lol. Wish I would have saved that clip 😭

Had the same thing with that guy in Lemoyne by the old town, always ambushes you with lemoyne raiders, had my weapon locked n cocked... next thing I’m giving him a ride wishing I could kill him 🙄😂

One of my favorite bugs that i've encountered in Online was a random encounter where you had to deliver these prisoners to their camp. My buddy and I are riding through Saint Denis when we get this encounter and we deliver him to their camp out by Lakay without issue. The mission ends with a cutscene of the camera panning away from the camp and that's when I notice something. One of the gentlemen at the camp is standing in an ever growing pool of lanterns. He'd pull out a lantern from his back pocket only to drop it into a pile of about 30-40 other lanterns. I really wanted to try and shoot them but after the cutscene he ceased to exist, taking the lanterns with him. It was one of my biggest disappointments in the game.

I’m actually German but since I have my english final exams soon it would really help me if someone native would speak english with me. I’m kinda not very confident about speaking english and I think this would really help. So i thought why not combine it with my greatest hobby   If someone is interested I would be grateful for a respond

We have a recruitment sub forum that you may want to visit and even create your own post in.  There you can check out all the active posses looking for member or even create your own.  .....or make a thread asking folks if anyone is looking.

I had a slightly depressing moment last night, and then one which made me chuckle.  

1)  I was (recklessly, admittedly) sitting on my horse studying a map right by a main thoroughfare.  Map on full screen.  I get a vibration from the controller, exit the map, and find that some random passing player has pulled me from my horse (hence the vibration) but now rather than attacking me he is sticking a knife in my horse!  I pick myself up, draw twin LeMats and let him have it (not very creative, should have lasso'd him but I was surprised and worried about the horse).  Horse survived, he's dead, all fine but what's up with that?!?  Who does that???  I rode off, didn't see him again, I'm level 96, he's level 15, don't know what makes some people tick.  We had no previous.

 

2)  I was out collecting up on the cliffs north of Annesburg, using the metal detector.  I hear hooves and gunfire below me, and there's a player with a bounty on his horse, being chased by gang members.  He has been unhorsed, the bounty is lying in the middle of the road and he's outnumbered.  Looked like a sticky situation, so I drew a repeater and took out the bandits.  Then holstered my gun and tipped my hat to him.  He turned to face me, holding a gun, there was a loooong moment when he was deciding whether I was a threat, so should he shoot me.  He chose not to, eventually, so picked up his bounty and rode off to hand it in (he must have had a timer, obviously), and I went back to digging up a necklace.  Was fun seeing the dilemma he had, trying to read my intentions.  Well, it made me chuckle.  And counted as my good turn for the day.

It makes people's heads explode in RDO if you do something nice - simply does not compute.

I am still hoping all these issues get resolved for the game on the PC end. Been a nightmare for a lot of folks and I'd hate people to give up on the game and miss out.

Anyone else been using the Posse Up option, or leading their own public posses? I've been using it more and more and I'm really starting to like it, been building up a bit of loose a friends network like I have in GTAO and even started up a Persistent Posse to try and keep better track of some of the people I've met. Kind of annoyed with how limited PP's functionality is though. When I first heard about it I assumed it was going to be RDO's equivalent of GTAO's crews but as it stands now you're basically paying $200 bucks for a customized name, increased posse size and extremely truncated secondary friends list...

 

And now that I think about it, when/if we get Free Aim sessions I'll probably need to start at square one with all this anyway; I assume most of the people I've met would stick with AA :(

I like the fishing challenges. They're the only Free Roam events where I have a half-decent chance at winning.

Today there was one up north at Brandywine. As the event gets underway, I hear screams in the distance. Male and female. I think maybe some idiot is messing with people somehow and briefly roll my eyes at kids these days, but focus on the fishing.

Halfway into the event, I landed two 18 pounders and am narrowly in the lead, but my spot isn't great, so I decide to move up the river a little. Turns out the one messing with people wasn't some idiot kid, but a panther. And since combat is disabled during the fishing events, i spent the second half of the contest getting mauled over and over again by an angry cat, taking no damage, but also unable to fight back. At one point I managed to start fishing again, hoping it would leave me alone once I was in the fishing animation, and I even hooked another fish, but nope, the panther got me again before I could land it.

I finished 2nd.

 

PS. And just as I finished typing this, my cat threw up on the bed. Not a good cat day today...

Ahh man, and combat/weapons are disabled in these events too, right? Damn, you can't even defend yourself either! 😂 Rest in tattered pieces from being mauled repeatedly lol

Just now a small posse was circling Madam Nazar and waiting for others to go to her and then kill them and me being one. Happy days. 3 on one. I did manage to sell something though. 🙃
