  1. Not sure about a separate game, but I'd buy it as dlc. I'd much rather play a "modern" version of it than the 360 version.

  2. And they're running out of time. People aren't willing to wait around while R* swims in their pile of money like Scrooge McDuck in his money bin while the online continues to be a half-baked beta.

  3. Hey all! Figured we could do with a post for pictures of posses? It's always fun to pose with the gang and look cool! This is some of our posse, the Black Hats. Our camp was in the swamp, and one morning, before setting off, we took a photo! How about everyone else? Posse photos to share?

  5. No not yet, at least not to my knowledge. Rumors are circling that more lobbies are the plan, but I haven't heard that from any source that I would totally support. It's just rumors. Those rumors are sounding like we get about the same options as we had in GTAO. Again, just rumors and nothing concrete.

  6. From what i understand, it's simply a personal option just like the sensitivity settings for auto aim, FPV vs. TPV, etc. Everyone gets put into the same generic Free Roam session regardless of what their settings are.

  7. I agree with some of it.. But how exactly does R* control griefing? What exactly is the actual act griefing? Killing players when they don't want to be killed.. is what most people would consider griefing. Can only be solved by invite only or friendly lobbies. R* could make it more difficult to locate players and add more butchers to the map...

  8. Hi Spiteful and welcome. A couple things..... First, I wanted to let you know that RDR2.org is not affiliated with Rockstar or Take Two Interactive. This is a fan site, so when you say "your game", it isn't really our game. Having said that, I will provide a link below where you can contact R* directly with your feedback: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892 Please note that there is a 500 character limit when providing feedback so you'll likely need to submit your suggestions piecemeal. Either way, there's no problem in sharing these ideas for discussion with fellow community members and in fact, participation is encouraged. I just wanted to make sure you knew that what you post here won't necessarily reach R*. You'll have to go through their feedback site to ensure that. ....and the more of us that do, the more likely it will be that these ideas can become reality.

  9. I run with a posse sometimes, but this is the core of the group and the ones who matter. myself and bunny.

  10. You're more than welcome. I havent played with many in the group but it's simply a resource that can be used to try and gather more friends so there is a better opportunity to find folks online when you play. Feel free to use it to try and form a regular posse, etc. I figure, the more people we get on board, the better chances folks have with finding players to join.

  11. They should also make it to where we can sell them to crypt, he needs a real function in this game. Make him more like Pearson in SP.

  12. Griefing is thrown around because it applies so easily to RDO. Player A is participating and one one thing and Player B comes along and decides that they have to step in and disrupt the fun of the other, cause that is the only way for Player B to have fun. It is part of the thorn in the side of PvEvP format.

  16. {Dinosaur bone spoiler but not exact location} Far north of Strawberry is a cave and within this cave is a phantom bear. As I came across this cave I could hear a bear growling intensely over and over. I left my horse Laureli far away from the cave and pulled out my trusty semi-auto shotgun. When I entered the dark cave I could hear the bear but could not see it. Out of know where he appeared right in front of me. I shot one slug into his chest right before it took me down! The giant grizzly chewed and through me around for minutes! With Arthur Morgan having TB and getting torn to shreds he managed to draw his hunting knife, stab the bear in the shoulder then the throat. Reaching for my semi-auto shotgun , I aimed, and blasted the great grizzly three times in the chest! I stood up, cloths and skin tore with blood all around, barely hanging on. I skinned and harvested the Phantom Grizzly, walked over to my horse and set up camp. I made a delicious oregano big game steak and slept for twenty hours to heal. The next afternoon I returned to the cave to find out the Phantom Grizzly was protecting an antient dinosaur bone. I rode off in amazement that this paranormal event had happened thinking "I cant wait to tell the gang what happened". There are so many great adventures you can have in Red Dead Redemption. Share your Spooky but true stories! Thanks to all who read and help start up this forum! For the truth behind the story, message me for a video. I don't want to self promote. I just want to let people know its a true story!

  18. So - I feel like: Since R* already has the complete map made for the current generation of consoles Since R* already has all the voice overs from the previous game Since people are completely in love with RDR2 and want more --it's a no-brainer to re-build the original Red Dead Redemption using the RDR2 map. I mentioned above they even have all the voice overs recorded and ready to go, and they already have a full, updated map ready to go. Wouldn't it be relatively easy (and make Rockstar lots of cashola) to make it happen?? I'D buy it again . . .

  20. Oh wow, I kinda pick up that you're joking, but I really hope I didn't spoiler this for you. I didn't think I'd need to enter the text as a spoiler, because the title of the thread contains the word spoiler in all caps. All of the major surprises in the game were spoilered for me, which is a real shame, I would never want to do that to someone else. If you think it's an issue, I'll delete my post. Let me know, and if I spoilered it, I am really genuinely very sorry.

  22. I voted yes but I guess it depends on what they would deliver in a remastered version. Hell, I bought GTAV again when they ported it over to PS4 but even with the graphics upgrade and the population increase, etc., it was essentially based on the same foundation they had from PS3 in regard to the mechanics, etc. I guess the thing with GTAV was that it came out early enough in the PS4s life cycle that it still felt like an upgrade. If GTA6 was already out and they released a remaster of GTAV, I wouldn;t ever bought a PS4 copy of GTAV. IMO, R* missed a golden opportunity to make RDR1 a remaster before RDR2s release. If you would have asked me this question months before RDR2 hit the shelves, I could tell you with 100% certainty that I would have bought it.

  23. Great topic, and fantastic post from the OP! THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS! I'm going to cover 2 things: the potential love interest, and the link between Arthur and John. Having just completed the game, I can now view every thing in hindsight. For me, personally, I would always talk to Sadie in camp, hoping for some sort of romantic spark to happen. It's plainly clear that for most of the game Sadie is grieving for her husband, and thus any romance would be extremely slow to blossom. It just felt natural to me that Arthur would be attracted to her. She's a good looking lady, with a fiery spirit, just the kind Arthur could respect, and desire. He is one of the 3 who rescues her at the start of the game. As the story progresses, Arthur and Sadie seem almost like a reflection of one another: tough, loyal, and willing to do bad things although with a higher moral code to try to do the right thing. They seem "right" together, and eventually do a lot of missions as the gang splits, essentially replacing Dutch's role as the "honourable outlaws". They work together closely, and as others have stated, Sadie is the only one who shows any real commitment to, and compassion for Arthur. You can see plenty of scope for missing dialogue/scenes/missions, where Arthur and Sadie spend time together discussing the changing dynamics of the gang, planning how to move forward etc. Obviously both are aware that Arthur is terminally ill, and this is a core feature of the overall story as Arthur strives for redemption in the face of his looming mortality. It would be kinda messy trying to have a non sexual romance with a TB sufferer who is dying, and the potential for it to get awkward, and seem contrived is probably the reason it was left out - as well as potentially getting too "tugging on the heart strings", which wouldn't really fit with the overall game. So for me, in terms of her inherent attractiveness, how I as a player felt it natural for him to like her and vice versa, her growing character which reflects that of Arthur, number of missions they do together, and her genuine compassion for Arthur, Sadie was definitely the love interest. Charlotte: Arthur meets Charlotte when he is trying to make up for some of his wrongs, as he reflects on his life and comes to see that much of what he has done, with his misplaced loyalty to his gang (adopted family), has been evil. Charlotte is vulnerable, and Arthur adopts an older brother/father type figure in giving her the tools and confidence she needs to survive on her own. For me this was a self-contained redemption storyline and nothing more. Eliza: During a dialogue option with Rain Falls, Arthur mentions that he had a son with a young woman, but also mentions that both were killed, so there is no possibility that she was the 2nd love. Arthur, John, Abigail, and Jack - it's clear that Abigail was a working girl, as there is dialogue between Miss Grimshaw and Abigail in camp, where Abigail states that she will not work, because she "doesn't do that any more". All of the girls (except maybe Mary Beth who is new to the gang) are working girls, and Grimshaw is clearly the madam. Throughout this game, and RDR1, Abigail and John have a strained relationship. There is little warmth between them, although it's pretty clear that John does love her - you always get this awkward sense between them, like something unspoken; the sort of post-affair type of relationship, where you're together but it will never be the same again. @YodaMan 3Dmade an excellent observation, which I noticed at the time but had forgotten: when Abigail says to Arthur "you should really spend some time with Jack". This is phrased in such a way as to imply, Arthur is the father and SHOULD spend some time with his son. Almost as if he has a sense of duty to fulfil. This would also make sense of why John left the gang for about a year: if he felt, or Abigail told him, that Jack was not his, he may have freaked out and needed to get away to clear his head. Jack doesn't really seem to like John, and although John does make an effort at times, again it's always awkward; like they both know somehow that John is not the dad (Jack subconsciously, John consciously), but they sort of get along with things because this is the situation they are in, so they just go along with it (much like Abigail and John). John is clearly not that bright. Both Arthur and Jack enjoy reading, and writing (Arthur keeps a detailed journal, picks up and can read books throughout the game, Jack always has his head buried in a book). Jack seems more like Arthur, than John in this respect. Finally, in the epilogue, Jack is reading a story about King Arthur, and John gives him the assumed name Lancelot to hide his true identity. I just found that an interesting aside. Thanks for reading, I enjoy discussions like this, cheers!

  24. fyi.... I just got finished checking my blocked list and I have over 200 players. I also checked in several spots on list as I scrolled through the names and for each that I did, they were still blocked. .....although the last 56 looked like place holders as there is no longer player information in those boxes. My list is in alphabetical order and stops after "Si". Seems half of the S's and thru Z are still there but simply blank. .....not sure what that's about. Maybe I'll try to block someone in that alphabet range to see what happens. 190 blocked players are still visible though. Anyhow, are you saying that you can only see 50 on your list and that Sony confirmed that's the limit?

  25. Amen! It took me a while for me to cipher the wardrobe saving to horse. Shouldn't be so complicated, and since it is, how bout some documentation?
    1 point
  26. I'd have no problem with that. You have to surrender to them. Leave the area until things cool down, then find a lawman or bounty hunter and surrender when they call you out. Don't move, don't draw your weapon, just press triangle (Y for normal people) to surrender and allow them to take you.

  27. Ah, ok. That could be it. My friend was closer to my horse when I died and respawned than I was. I really wish R* would provide more details on the mechanics of the game. They release information about such things in spurts ever since the game released. .....much of it surprising me because I never knew certain things had an affect or operated in that way.

  30. In this game its actually encouraged. From free roam missions to award unlocks. Theres a lot of good and bad with the format of Free for All. I actually had a player come up to me last night while I fishing. Alls I hear Is a gun c0ck and a revolver point at the back of my head while im pulling in a fish. So I pull in the fish and was kind of shocked he didn't pull the trigger. I turn around and the dude was waving at me and I noticed he put a Perfect Wolf Pelt on my horse. What a weirdo...lol

  33. I have experienced this several times as well and I can only attribute it to some kind of server lag or a player tempering with his internet (lag switch or so). None of the players I could not lock on to had slippery bastard ability equipped , I checked. Yet I had this happen several times so I can only logically think that it must be lag - related (be it intentional or not).

  34. Love all of these ! A couple I have would be catching wild horses and a place to keep them. Outfits from animals like in story mode. Hidden caves , ability to pan for gold , ghost riders that come for grieves , biggest fish and animal stats that can be chased and posted to a leader board. And last but not least many more missions and guns ! Lol

  35. Expensive yes but what isn't expensive to buy online. As for crafting you can only carry 10 animal fat and it is easy and quick to get. For example I go to the heartlands and shoot Canadian geese, several breeds of duck and golden pheasant. Takes 10 mins if that, to acquire the animal fat to craft these shells.

  39. I hate the fact that this feature is always prominent in the latest rockstar games (GTA Online you could barrel-roll then aim and shoot with no accuracy loss). Although I would love to see more features come to Online, sooner. Right now it's just a constant grind of either missions, events or some form of hunting to go towards unlocking cosmetics, guns and horses only. If you think about it, there could be so much more that online offers that already exist in the game; Selling/buying ranches/homes or cottages. (Farming and managing/trading livestock) Trading of horses. Buying/selling/trading of wagons and coaches. A bounty system to deter griefing (the more you kill players who haven't shot at you or shown any aggression towards you the higher your bounty and it stays with you regardless of lobby refresh, just an idea). Private lobbies which we can invite friends and other players to hunt and just mess around free of worries. Free-aim lobbies. Flesh out the online story mission more maybe with appearances from more side characters from the Van Der Linde gang (e.g. Lenny handing out bank robbery missions, Pearson sending you for herb (other food items) gathering missions or Javier giving you train robbing missions, etc). More ways to interact with the train. An OFFICIAL FIGHT CLUB (this is my dream for online) where clubs can be formed with daily/weekly/monthly leaderboards and events to compete with other clubs, bets can be made, griefers can't ruin it and different locations/setting each time. Ability to sell or trades guns that you don't want anymore (the ability to remove any gun from weapon wheel and store in some sort of gun locker in your camp). PLEASE PLEASE more saved outfit slots (upgrading horse satchels giving ability to store more saved outfits). The ability to be a Hired gun. When activated, players in lobbies are able to see a list of available Hired guns and based on your stats/experience/honour can hire you for protection by an hourly/minute rate if they require only temporary protection without wanting to invite to posse. More horse breeds with more choices of coats to buy and more mane/tail styles. To be able to trade and actually sell horses, not just discard them) PASSIVE MODE and maybe a Passive Hunter mode to be able to only use the bow and other hunting weapons but not able to lock onto players and npc's, only animals. It should be noted that some of these features could already be planned for release soon, who knows. Let me know if I've missed any more ideas (which i'm sure there's plenty more).

  41. Nobody compelled other players to assist the law. If I see a pile of dead bodies in a town, I'm probably going to ride the other way unless I WANT to get involved. Itd be one thing if those players were getting ambushed, but in my experience, they knew exactly what they were getting into.
    1 point
  42. You really should. You're really putting yourself at a disadvantage if you don't especially against higher level players. RDO rewards those with high levels. For example, when I unlocked Express ammo, I discovered I could still hold the max limit for regular ammo as well. .....so for a gun like my Lancaster, I can carry 400 rounds vs. the 200 I was limited to before level 34(?). I'm guessing once I unlock High Velocity, I will be able to carry 600 rnds. I honestly think the limit should be at the amount of ammo regardless of what you choose (say 200). .....with exceptions for things like explosive ammo of course which should remain heavily restricted in that respect. Ability cards are the same way. They're level locked and expensive to upgrade. Newer players are at a definite disadvantage in this sense. It makes a big difference and can really help those of us who are attempting to find ways to keep from being victims of griefing.

  43. Well, we are an established crew on Socialclub that existed already for GTA 5 and moved on to RDR. Sure it's more then 7 members but then it's a limit that was introduced by Rockstar to RDR2. Socialclub crews contain more then 7 people and we play with mixed posses in RDR together. If you're interested: https://fpgl-crew.org

  44. Imo its worth a second playthrough, I missed some quality Random encounters first time round (The Freaky Poisoners), quite a few things played differently depending my actions. I'm playing my 3rd time, but this time is a very naughty boy! Got bounties everywhere and bounty hunters appearing all the time. I alternate between online and story.

  45. I am doing the last of the challenges and they are just like the exotics, a huge pain in the ass. I have said it before and I will say it again, R* should have made the challenges just as enjoyable as the rest of their game. This comes from one that literally are in love with story mode and all the little secrets on the map and such but the challenges are really a chore.
