Simply answered this game isn't Fortnite/Pubg or a Battlefield/COD game where it's all about PvP. If that's what you are seeking there are game modes specifically for that. This game allows you to immerse yourself into the world of Red Dead, I'm going to assume you never played the first Red Dead where there were Posse's of all types in there as we well as those who engage heavily with a bit of Roleplay in them (meetings, assassinations, alliances, wars, etc.). Also people Griefing is completely different from PvP. Literally the other day I was killed 4 times while trying to fish, firs time I brushed it off and didn't retaliate after the 3rd time I wanted to see when he would grow tired of killing a non violent person who just wanted to fish. After the 4th I got annoyed and sniped him, he then ran away and left the server. This kid didn't just kill me for the sake of PvP he completely "griefed" by just spawn killing me as I minded my own business and clearly didn't want to participate in PvP at the moment. Now the other issue is, it isn't a matter of just PvPing which I wouldn't mind engaging in from time to time, but the fact that the servers are all Auto Aim where you can literally be running, horseback riding etc.. and the aggressor literally just has to aim and tap the analog stick a little up and shoot with an instant kill doesn't seem fun to me. Now if Free Aim was the main aiming setting then I would be okay with someone randomly shooting me which would at least give me a fighting chance. People don't like being ran up on and instantly get killed with a headshot by someone going 20 mph on a horse, or constantly spawn killed with an easy headshot. In short Free Roams aren't about PvPing, people like to PvP and others simply don't. Which is why my Gang doesn't kill random players unless they're hostile. There are game modes, missions etc for PvP in the game and then there are other games out there where you can go and kill people over and over again, once again RDR online isn't that. I hope I don't come across as rude or condescending in any way it's hard to tell the text tone of a post lol.4 points

WehTuFat's character name is Kyenne Peppers. My gliched male character's name was Obsdiah Pope. @Born Homicidal I have sent a suggestion to Rockstar for the character names to appear instead of the Microsoft gamertag names2 points

lmao!! I personally don't mind the frozen/ gliding birds since I use free aim its easier to shoot them down. but that Gun Rush statement was hilarious since they were quick to update that instantly rather than anything else.2 points

I for one am tired of looking over my shoulder all the time and running around in crouched position just to avoid a$$hats. There is a large community that plays the game as intended but there is also a large segment that wants to make the whole damned place a big fortnite and frankly I am tired of these people. We need invite only sessions and we need them sooner rather than later. But the a$$hats have also paid there money and deserve to play it to there liking. So again we need invite only sessions. The best answer in my opinion. I continue to put that into my feedback on daily basis and I encourage all of you to do the same.2 points

Although I'm not really good at PvP as my reflexes are not there anymore, I don't mind getting into the occasional gun fight for a brief period. Events as you describe could be added and done in structured events, this would allow people to participate when active and go sell their wares when not. There is no reason why this game cannot cater to both types of players, furthermore, the way the game's auto aim is set, this will never give a true PvP feeling. And yes, we have the single player mode for hunting and whatever, but some people would like to do those activities and exploring along side friends without having to worry about losing all their pelts and such just because some random was bored and decided to kill them while they were fishing or whatever.2 points

Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold 20 million units worldwide making it the biggest selling game of 2018. Incredibly GTA5 was the 11th best selling game for 2018, five years after it's initial release. Just saying.2 points

I saw the birds gliding like kites too. Around Emerald Ranch and Lemoyne. Guess R*'s gotta save that rendering for the three people playing Gun Rush.2 points

I think it's rediculous that I have a hundred dollars in hides on my horse cone into a town to sell them n get shot by some a hole n bam all my hides are gone and I'm out of that money maybe make it so we can have a friendly Lobby or something bcuz this is not fair spend two hours hunting n lose everything because someone wants to be a jerk n shoot you for nothing1 point

I keep reading all these posts from players who are ticked off with griefers or whatever you want to call them. These same complainers are saying they want to hunt and fish and be left alone. I actually expected the online part of this great game to be like most online games..player VERSUS player not AI. In the single player game i can hunt and fish until the sun sets in the East and never get shot at, so why would i want that same experience online? Posses (or gangs) would team up against other teams and take over camps and/or areas under others control. There would be epic fights for control of Valentine or St. Deinis, etc. Instead I keep reading that players want to ride around this huge map and do nothing of the sort. So without attacking me the OP, just what is it you expected from an online shooting game?1 point

The regular free roam is lacking, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't addicted to Gun Rush. You know, on the one out of every 10 time I try to get into a lobby that actually succeeds.1 point

This is a big one for me. The campaign doesn't have co-op and there is no private session options now or in the foreseeable future. Also, it's not all about hunting and fishing. Some PvE'ers and co-op parties want to partake in the story and side missions of RDO as well like I (and my friends) do. R* created RDO as an experience for all players (PvP and PvE alike) and they have stated time and time again: ....or rather, an online shooting game meant to blend PvE and PvP gameplay together. What do I expect? ......balance. To be brutally honest, all I care about is that R* has recognized that many of their customers are not happy with the current trolling problem and they are willing to do something about it. Whether that will help or make the problem worse is another story.1 point

It is used in RDOnline. RD1 was entirely based in New Austin and Perdido. (Mexico)1 point

Alright here it goes It's pretty long, hope you enjoy it, and sorry if there are any typos etc.: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "The Spirit Warrior known as Sacred White Bear is a young man who was born during war, and thrived on the deaths of his enemies alongside his spirit Guide known as Nola the white bear. Through his sacrifice to save his Tribe he now wanders the lands as a dead man along with The Born Brothers Gang trying to find peace and balance with his new tribe, so others may find their way during these dark times of change." I earned my name as a boy from the Makwa Tribe. My people lived in a time of war between a rival tribe in our home known as Tall Trees. When I was a boy, my mother was walking in the woods teaching me of the vast types of berries we had in our territory, hoping I would follow the footsteps of my father and become our Tribes Healer as I grew older rather than become a warrior as many do in our Tribe. We were on our way back to the village until I heard a growl from a nearby Bear, mother told me to leave it be and to hurry back to the village as it was dangerous. Stubborn as I was I ran to see what was wrong and there I saw it a mythical creature as beautiful as two Hawks soaring freely against the wind: a rare White Bear. The bear was trapped in a cage, by this group of people I never encountered in our territory before. These men had skin as white as the snow. Terrified I immediately ran up to the cage and unleashed the bear to free her. These white men started to make loud banging noises from these devices I have never seen or heard before. I immediately pulled out the dagger my father gifted me and started attacking these men, the bear was savagely tearing apart the group of men. My mother stared at me with a disappointed look on her face but at the same time relieved that I was able to fight off an unknown enemy as she knew I was born to be a fighter. As I get up off the ground body covered in blood, I looked over and see the Bear charging at me with the loudest roar anyone has heard, it shook the ground beneath me and made the trees whisper in fear. I stared at the Bear in the eyes and showed it that I was in peace with it. As I closed my eyes expecting life to end, nothing happened. I open my eyes to find the Bear laying in front of me, hurt with a blade dug into her strong coat. I gently reach out with my hand and placed it on her forehead. I felt a strong connection with her. I pulled the blade away, it only caused a small cut as if it was nothing but a thorn. Mother screamed as she looked off into the distance, smoke coming from our village. I looked at the White bear and asked her to be my spirit guide in battle. I charged to the village, followed by my new companion. There about 30 white men, Burning huts, and killing my tribe even the women and children. I knew I was destined to be a warrior. I engaged in battle along with my friend killing and slaughtering the group as we did earlier except we fight as if we were one. The tribes war chiefs arrived along with our great warriors to the aftermath of the chaos. They saw a fierce warrior and saw that I had the gift of loyalty from the White Bear. There they granted me the name of Wahkan Makostah. Throughout the years I became a great Warchief leading the fight against the White men and invading tribes from the East. Countless of battles won and Lives lost. Our numbers were thinning as the White man's creations were too powerful against our spears, and arrows. I decided to find peace with the Dakota tribe who was coming into our land, as we fought off this never ending force. That is when I found out that the Dakota tribe was being pushed out of their homes by the same men we have been fighting Against which is why they were moving west, and did not know who to trust. I spent a years time among them learning of their ways of peace and war, where I learned the white man's language with a member of their tribe who was with the US ARMY named Monroe. There I learned that everyone wanted to live in these lands and were fighting to survive. Seeing the Dakota Tribe, struggle and allowing the Americans to disrespect their land and people all for a treaty to keep the peace. I could not allow my people to fall the same way. My companion and I were almost home when we came across a camp near our village. I snuck into their camp to see almost 100 men with bigger guns, and carriages. I knew I could not fight them alone. We retreated. Once in my village I told the Chief and my father what I encountered. The War Chiefs wanted to stay and fight, my father knew of a place up North where they would not be able to follow. As much as I wanted to defend our home, I knew we were fighting a losing war, our numbers diminishing there were just too many of them. I agreed with father as I've witnessed many deaths, and I knew my spirit guide was tired of fighting, she deserved peace in her life. I wanted nothing more than for my mother, father, wife with child and tribe to live in peace and prosper. As my village was packing to leave, the Army ambushed us in a surprise attack, leaving no time I told the Chief to leave, along with the Tribe. I asked my bear to go with them for protection. They begged me to stay but I told them that as a strong spirit warrior I was unable to retreat from this battle until my people were safe, that if I fall may the many generations hear of my story. I will either die or live on as a Legend to inspire the Makwa Tribe. I told my wife to give my son or daughter their name the same way I earned mine (Reference to my character in Red Dead 1 “Brave Buffalo”), I kissed her goodbye, and I Thanked my spirit animal for her loyalty and the opportunity to share a love that was unbreakable. The men charged at me, I fought them off with several traps in our home, once They were done I had to attack with arrows and poisoned hatchets. I went in accepting death, I just needed to hold them off until I knew my people were safe. As the insides and decapitated bodies of my enemies filled the floors, one of the men shot my arm with a revolver, I stopped as I have never been hit before, I gaze upon my own blood for the first time, as another bullet hit me in the chest followed by another I looked up in the cloudy sky laughing as it began to pour rain. I raged on killing the two men. As I grew weak I fell to my knees I saw the signal from my people and the fierce roar from my companion indicating they were safe. With no energy left a man with a sword approached me, swinging to finish me off, I heard a roaring sound of water filling the dried River. The man with the sword flinched as he turned slicing the side of my face deep. He was knocked down by the current barely missing me. All the Army men retreated and I could no longer keep my eyes open, I fade away feeling satisfied. I awake to find a Man who's name is Uncas, he reveals to me that he disassembled the Dam unleashing the force that was withheld from the waterfalls. I thank him as he healed my wounds and took care of me. He spoke of hearing the legend of White Bear and that I was needed. I refused as I had to make sure the leader of the group of Army men would not follow my people. Uncas said he had a gift for me, but that I could only receive it if I listened to what he needed to say. He was mysterious and curiosity got the best of me. I agreed. Uncas told me that the same is happening to all tribes from the lands that surround us, and that not all tribes were lucky enough to escape, he had a grim and saddened expression; I could tell he had experienced great loss. I was needed to not fight the White men, but to help others from all types of tribes and people to survive in this world. That I was needed to help guide others who wish to help Uncas mission and those who wished to call our group home and be part of a family. I did not fully understand what he was speaking of but I was still hearing him. He continued to say that “times were changing and that I may not fully understand what I am hearing but as time goes on all with make sense brother”. I refused as I could not leave my tribe to fight off the following Army men, he chuckled and dragged out the Man with the Sword. Uncas said to me “not only did I release the waterfalls to save you, I also did it to kill off the entire group of men that were left standing. The Only survivor was their leader known as Colonel Grimshaw” he told me that my tribes safety would be guaranteed once Grimshaw was dead as no one would know which way they went. That once the life escaped from his body I must release all of the hatred, vengeance, and bloodlust within me and continue on. He was very wise, as I turn to the Colonel I rub my wounded face and fed my blood to him, I told him that “I may let go of my bloodlust for you on this night, but it will follow you in the afterlife”, as I slit his throat with my gifted dagger. Uncas gave me an option now that my family was safe, I either go back to them and Live in Peace as I wish them to be, or become a ghost and allow them to tell tales of me and my legends of sacrifice in order to help others less fortunate than us. I believed in his cause and wanted to see what the future holds for us and this journey of ours. I saw that he had lost everything but he continued to accept others who are different and wanted to help those who needed a family of their own using a balanced mind of war and peace. I owed Uncas not only for saving me, but also for guaranteeing the safety of my people. I accepted his offer and told him I would never leave his side until my last breath. That we will honor our people and allow others to have a home. He stood up away from the fire and told me it was time to go, that it was time to meet his right hand man who is named Chesmu where we must discuss your place with us. Chesmu was well educated and had a great amount of knowledge, he welcomed me with open arms and was glad that the great White Bear Wahkan Makostah joined his family. They are my brothers and on this day of blood, battle, sacrifice and acceptance we are Born Brothers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- as you can see its pretty long, but It explains my characters life before the world of RDR online, and how I ended up with The Born Brothers Gang (Uncas and Chesmu). I definitely hope they add in a Bear mount someday lol. if you'd like to read the others visit our website at: thebornbrothers.com thanks.1 point

You know I don't think I've ever noticed that, but can't deny it. I've died plenty times, but when I think about it, it's often from falling off cliffs or bridges (I should know better but vertigo and short-term memory loss are a dangerous combination) and maybe I've just been lucky in ambushes. This is where I polish my knuckles cos, y'know, *winks...* I can be pretty nifty with a shooter if I'm reasonably sober, it's confidence is my problem, I often start off with a handgun and end up using my sniper rifle cos I've run away screaming "Come and get me! and they haven't. That happens a lot actually.1 point

Buttlint I remember travelling all the way across Scotland to see the Pong machine in Prestwick Airport, one of the very first in the country, early 70s, then there was Binatone, followed by long periods in a dark room with Galaxian and Defender machines and a strong smell of glue, a detour to the most addictive quiz machines every pub could find before plugging in a cassette machine and listening to taped white noise, then unplugging the phone and plugging in a 27k modem and listenin to a tune played in white noise and pings... I don't know, things get hazy after that don't they? and then we're here, with a game I can't shake off... again.1 point

Once on that "Kerosene" mission, while most of us were riding along getting the story outline/narrative from the NPC, one player took off on his own and I didn't know why. He went straight for the train and killed all the Pinkertons. I guess while we went to grab the train to take to the location, he had already gone ahead and killed most of the NPCs at the station. When we pulled into the station on the train (we met very little resistance at all), we got the message to loot the industrialists, so he had gotten that far. By the time we actually got off the train, he had already looted them. I'm not even sure if he got on the train with us when we pulled off. I've learned my lesson now. I hang back to see if anyone goes straight to the train and follow them if they do. It's fine for those of us who have played the game since the beginning and have played out the whole story but it kind of ruins it for new players because they miss out on part of the action and story--and the XP, I'm guessing. I wish this mission was more like "Kill Them All..." where a player can ride ahead but all players are pulled together when the action starts. I only replay the "Kerosene...," "Kill Them All..." and "Kill Them Each and Every One" missions now anyway because I don't really care for the others. A note to some players--you can press a button on your controller to skip most cut scenes. Once you've enjoyed the cutscene for a story 10 or 15 times, please be merciful and press it. Don't get me wrong, even I found Mrs. LeClerk's retribution funny the first 20 or so times but now even that's a little boring.1 point

A lot of features like this seem to be disabled during the beta run which is understandable but I don't understand why they are taking people's money while it is still developing. Like IRL money.1 point
-
As everyone else has mentioned, it's just the beta phase & they're working on fixing all the bugs & kinks. I imagine afterwards they'll work on releasing more content. Remember when GTA 5 Online first released? It was pretty bleak & boring. Look at how much it's expanded. I'm sure Rockstar will do the same with RDO in due time1 point
-
I have played plenty of games in beta so I am used to the issues people are having. I think a lot of core console gamers are not used to all of it. If you played PC gaming, you might have been introduced to the concept of beta testing more and would not have been so quick to sell it. Oh well!1 point
-
LOL They haven't even added on a lot of the features yet. They are allowing us to be part of the testing process chill out dude. I think you jumped the gun there and will regret selling the game.1 point

I agree with Kormath. The Beta version will be a repetitive system. This is RS time to fix bugs and adjust the system. Example the economy, it was rough in first release. They have fixed it some. There will be a lot more to come. I'd get the game back. Have a good one.1 point
