I am going to be one of those people who has enormous doubts on them showcasing anything at E3 for us just because it is Rockstar.

Have they ever done anything at E3 on a bigger scale? I don't really follow it unless I want to see footage for a certain game.

Yeah they have but they seem to not do it as often or in the same sense other gaming devs do. It don't matter to me if they make us wait for more information. I am the kind of person who enjoys a movie more the less I know about it in the trailer. So I would rather see less and experience more. This can be what they are going for.

I think most people prefer this. The idea of a game trailer is to reveal enough to get you interested. Enough to make you want to buy the game without spoiling anything major in the story. As much as I want another trailer and more information, the trailers they gave us thus far have been really good.

I don't think they would EVER give away that much in a trailer to the point of ruining the story.

I would rather we get another 3 or 4 trailers than just one more featuring some gameplay. I want to see at least 2 more showcasing the story and the graphics, one for gameplay, and then one for online mode.

Games have done it in the past so I sure as hell would hope not. Looking back at RDR's trailer, I think we are safe.

They show enough to make you want to know the story and play the game.

Looking at that now makes me hope they do a better job. Maybe it is because it is old now but that trailer could have been soooo much better!! I don't mean quality either, just with what they showed.

Wow I remember being so hyped for that trailer and not looking at it, it kind of feels underwhelming. I guess I am used to the more current graphics and style of promoting a game.

It really isn't much different from any other trailer they have done. Watch it again, then watch GTA V's, then watch the latest one for RDR2.

They all kind of have the same vibe really. The graphics have come a long way though. I like going back and watching old gaming trailers and commercials myself.

I don't know why some people feel like the last trailer wasn't any good. I really enjoyed it myself. Got my pumped up for the release. I get that they always work the same angles with their games but that is part of the charm. :D

I would say 80%+

Most gamers these days are avid online gamers, not just solo offline ones. The shift I think happened 10 years ago. I know more people who will play games based on them being online (be it multiplayer or co-op).

Personally, I found more value in the IGN summary of the 45 minute demo and the transcript of the interview with Rob Nelson.  That got me way more excited about the game than watching any of the videos.  .....again, personally.

I think you may have misquoted? But I agree with you. IGN did a fantastic job at describing what they experienced in detail and the things they were able to say about the game blew my mind.

There was a 45 minute demo they were shown.  There was also a French interview that Maxime Chao had with with Rob Nelson.  I read the translated transcript on IGN.  ....it was also reported by other sources as well though.  That interview had a lot of good information in it.

You would think October would feel closer with it being May but for some reason, it feels like it is much further away. Maybe that is just me lol

I think it feels the same. The weather outside has been great so if you live in a place that has nice summers, then just keep yourself busy.

Easier said than done if you are a vampire who prefers to be indoors when it is hot outside lol

Summer usually goes fast for everyone though. Went a lot faster when I was still in school though.

I honestly hate the heat and being out in the summer but I know that if I continue to just rot away inside, I will regret it later in life. Since I plan on mounting my backside to my sofa when RDR2 comes out, I want to try to at least pretend to be active over the summer.

That will be a year's worth of polish they are putting on the game.  I am curious on what they are finding wrong with it that they can't put it out yet?

I think R* is renowned for being perfectionists with their games and rightly so! They always produce a game that is not rushed and is the finished product so it can only mean good things. I believe it is a year of just polishing, considering they were ready to release earlier, which is great!

I will keep saying it till it happens because I know it is going to happen... When this game wins Game of the Year, the wait will have all been worth it for the Devs and the players.

What other games are coming out this year? I can't remember the bigger titles. GTA V got game of the year as well as 2 of their other GTA games in the past.

Looking over this year's releases, there aren't many that I would put on par with a Rockstar game. Like I see a few maybe making the cut purely for looks and feel but I think RDR2 has this one in the bag.

Has there ever been a year when a Rockstar game was released where they didn't win? Maybe Bully... That might be the only one.

Battlefield V was an absolute solid buy for me until I saw the release date. Now I'm not going to bother.

The worst month they could have picked. I was actually considering this as well but I can't get another game while playing RDR2 fresh. That is going to be the only game I play for a good 3 months.

Problem is we'll then come into BFV late on and be way behind the 12 year olds.

That sucks for you guys. I am not big on BF games so I am not bothered. It will suck though cause by the time Christmas comes and goes, the servers will be loaded with kids. Gross. lol

Most games have a chunk of kids on them by the third month of the game's release anyway. I have a harder time dealing with adults acting like kids than kids acting like kids. Seems to be more and more 20 somethings going on 10 than actual kids these days. I have been on some servers in various games where the 13 year old is acting more mature than the 21 year old.
