Gh0stRyder Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Well, that is interesting but not surprising. A lot of online games have tons of stuff they don't release just locked onto the game. I would like to see a few more games.
liquidfire Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I mean guys if you don't need the physical copy then this is not an issue at all. You could always get the digital one and get a physical copy of the game new months from now when the price drops. I think that is what I will be doing. 1

You can get it on the marketplaces too for both PS4 and XBOX. I am thinking I will get the digital download and then get a physical copy after like you mentioned. 1
VICKSUN Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 I was thinking about it the other day and I know we have talked about it on here at some point, but what are the chances of an online server crashing when the online end is available? Knowing that the hype for this one is a lot bigger than the last one makes me think we will see similar issues like with GTA V. 1
CMcC Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 So the golden gun is just a skin? I didn’t realize that. I wasn’t interested to begin with because that’s pretty flashy for my taste, but now I’m thinking: doesn’t that confirm customization options for weapons in RDR2? Pretty cool. Hopefully they’ll have some engraving options. Getting that Hatchet May bring me back to GTA for the first time in months. 2
DiamondDave Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 8 hours ago, CMcC said: but now I’m thinking: doesn’t that confirm customization options for weapons in RDR2? Pretty cool. Yup that is what I am thinking and hoping for. Maybe we can have the option to do some kind of "gang-related" customization.
Hazed0NE Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 (edited) I mean if they are doing "skins" for weapons, that doesn't necessarily = customization we are in control of. Like they can easily release packs of different kinds of weapons and clothes we have to pay for... I fully expect this to happen. Edited August 7, 2018 by Hazed0NE
Reyes Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Anyone making fan-made clothing yet? I am waiting for it to start dumping out on sites like TeeSpring. I see it for almost every other game and there is already enough to work with based on the latest game-play trailer alone.
Manco Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Looking at the gameplay video again. There are a couple of stills of Arthur carrying weapons or selecting them from his horse. Rather than the never-ending inventory of GTA/RDR could it be possible that we are looking at having to select the right tools for the job? There are a couple of examples of Arthur walking down the street with a rifle over his shoulder, a shotgun in hand and his revolver holstered. There is also a still of him selecting his rifle from his horse. Could your loadout selection be crucial in how you play the game? For example if you've decided to bring the rolling block rifle with you and you end up in a bar fight you're going to have a bad time.

NewsBot Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 The hype train for Red Dead Redemption 2 has been kicked into overdrive with large posters going up in New York City and a new gameplay trailer - the first of its kind - having recently been revealed. And now, most recently, the game's first press kit has seen the light of day. Though not as substantial as a 6-minute look at the game in action, it's still interesting. Courtesy of Critical Hit, we have both a video and a set of photos showing off the small care package Rockstar is bombarding video game journalists with across the globe leading up to release. Press kits are traditionally included with review copies, including style guides, review guides and a few exclusive tidbits of merchandise. These, presumably, are meant as some measure of thanks for reviewing the games, but based on what most game reviewers say, they end up being little more than bothersome loot putting strain on storage space. Sometimes, press kits are sent out independently of review copies, and occasionally major AAA titles have multiple press kit waves. To remind journalists that the game exists, maybe? In the case of a title as big as Red Dead Redemption 2, that surely isn't a concern, but we digress. The press kit is comprised of a metal camping mug, a t-shirt and a set of stickers - everything with prominent Red Dead Redemption 2 branding, of course. The shirt is plain black with the word "Redemption" printed on the front with large, red lettering in the typical RDR font. The existence of this shirt was revealed some time ago when a few unverified claims of another press event being held went up alongside leaked images of the clothing item. The mug is somewhat more interesting. A typical red metal camping mug known for being able to take a beating with a large Red Dead Redemption 2 logo on one side and some promotional artwork on the other. Since all promo art for RDR2 so far was stylised on a solid red background, this print works particularly well and makes the mug actually look great, instead of simply carrying generic branding. The stickers are pretty run of the mill. You get a logo cut-out, and a rectangular one with the same key art printed on it as on the mug. They might be useful if you want to advertise your love for Red Dead by slapping them on the cover of your laptop or backplate of your phone - provided it is big enough, which these days shouldn't be much of an issue. Hopefully some of these items will be available to the general public later on - that mug is something we'd definitely buy. The post Red Dead Redemption 2 Press Kit Unveiled appeared first on RDR2. tadp0le Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Let the merch rain down. Now you know we are closing in on the date. Maaaan. I am excited and can't wait to get this game going.
CrabApples Posted August 23, 2018 Posted August 23, 2018 Really like that black tee with "Redemption" across it. I am a sucker for gaming teeshirts so I will likely end up getting one. I would like to see a hoodie as well.

If they don't end up doing a hoodie, just go on one of the sites that lets you create and sell stuff like Tee Spring or whatever and make one yourself then buy it lol
Fribbo Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 I am so excited for the game to drop, it is on my mind all day every day, looking forward to playing through the campaign then playing online.
Popsicle Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Do you think the interaction with NPCs will go so far as to be able to seduce women in bars and on streets?

NewsBot Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 In spite of our collective hope, rumors and apparent attempts by the editorial team at Game Informer, Red Dead Redemption 2 won't get a featured front-cover on the emblematic magazine. Confirmed by Game Informer Editor in Chief Andy McNamara, the upcoming highly anticipated open-world epic from Rockstar Games won't be gracing the publication's front page. Game Informer magazine covers have gained a kind of special status in the gaming press. Usually, highly anticipated AAA titles would be featured with exclusive artwork on the front page of the publication, accompanied by lengthy features, previews and interviews within the magazine. Whenever an upcoming game got a Game Informer cover, you knew there is a huge infodump on the way. We don’t have a RDR2 cover coming. Everyone tried, it just didn’t work out. — Andy McNamara (@GI_AndyMc) August 27, 2018 Based on McNamara's Tweet, Game Informer was definitely on board with the idea and fought to get that cover story, but "it didn't work out". If we had to guess - and due to so little information being available we do - we'd say Rockstar outright rejected this proposal or proposals due to their penchant for secrecy. Rockstar Games always reveals, or doesn't reveal, information about their upcoming games on their own schedule - and that schedule is usually very roomy and pushed close to release. When other games get several gameplay trailers, long demos at events, hands-on previews and so on, Rockstar keeps everything under lock and key until the last possible moment. The first peek of actual gameplay we got for Red Dead Redemption 2 was earlier this month, with the game coming in late October. It was first announced way back in 2016. A series of such gameplay videos were promised by Rockstar, and yet almost a month has passed without the next one popping up - if they are released in monthly intervals, we'll only get two more before launch. Game Informer cover stories are usually exhaustive and filled with juicy details, which is probably why Rockstar isn't playing ball - they just don't want to uncover that many features, mechanics and hints about the game. Nonetheless, the time until launch is shrinking, and those gameplay videos will have to tide us over until the 26th of October. NewsBot Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Rockstar Games has gone all-out with a newly announced product line of collectible merchandise for Red Dead Redemption 2. While some games get a few pieces of apparel, Rockstar has thrown a much wider net with items that probably never appeared as video game merchandise before being part of the lineup. That's not to say that apparel isn't on offer, it's just that apparel is the least interesting part of this. A total of 30 new products were revealed from a range of manufacturers that Rockstar teamed up with. Availability is still in question, but you should keep an eye on the Rockstar Warehouse for the pre-orders. To get the basic stuff out of the way first, there are 10 t-shirt variations among the newly announced merchandise. Four designs are available in a pair of colour combinations and another two designs are each available in just one variation. Among the shirts is the one previously seen in the Red Dead Redemption 2 press kit, however unfortunately the metal mug from that same kit isn't among the other items revealed. Stickers and pins, though different from the press kit ones, are also going to be available. Rockstar truly embraced the frontier setting of the Red Dead franchise with the other collectibles, as many of them are highly unexpected - pioneers in the field of video game merchandise, so to say. The Dynamite USB Charger is a small power pack shaped like a single stick of dynamite, complete with fuse and Red Dead Redemption 2 branding. There's also a premium wool blanket from Pendleton featuring members of the Van der Linde Gang. In case you ever had oddly specific desires such as a fire branded Red Dead Redemption 2 domino set, Rockstar obliges. The set comes in a hinged wooden box, and the dominoes themselves are black with red detailing. The ornate branded metal bottle opener goes well with the collapsible Rockstar logo shot glass. If you smoke (or are a pyromaniac), you can choose between the brass Zippo lighter or the engraved matchbox slipcase. Among the oddest inclusions in this product line is a trio of scented candles, all cast in black wax. They come in the shape of a barrel, three sticks of dynamite, or in a traditional glass candle holder. Even stranger is the pair of glass decoupage trays, one with a stylized Rockstar Games logo, and the other with a catalog page right out of Red Dead Redemption 2's gun stores. Why anyone would want Red Dead branded decoupage trays is beyond us, but hey, this stands testament to how mainstream this IP is. There's also a set of three Metal Earth 3D puzzles to be built in the face of a sawed-off shotgun, a Maxim gun and a locomotive. A series of leather items include cases for iPads and iPhones as well as a valet tray. Last but not least, a pair of Rockstar Logo keychains close the lineup. This is a strong merchandise showing with a very wide range of items available allowing fans to sneak a bit of Red Dead Redemption 2 into their daily lives. In some cases, such as with the decoupage trays, the branding is fairly subtle allowing them to fit into rooms with otherwise standard decor. Release dates for these items have not been announced, but we'd guess they'll be available around the same time as the game. Gh0stRyder Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Really impressed by all the collectibles and things they are doing for this game. It actually feels more like their main staple game in doing this. I know GTA still is and my guess the next GTA will be the biggest deal in gaming history but we are years out from that. Either way, I am keen on getting that train and that lighter.
Fribbo Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Anyone else excited that release is only just under two months and they wanna express it everyday just like I do? LOL. And when does everyone think the second gameplay video will drop I thought it would have been last week but I feel like it will definitely drop this week coming and R* won't leave it too long before revealing more information to us, a month from the first gameplay video (August 9th).
